First, I would buy the 316L version FT has, or the Tobeco. The Tobeco is made much better then the linked. As for air flow, it is a bit more then the GTII-S I have, More then the KF4 with 4S kit, A bit more then my Gem, roughly 2x the air flow of the GSL with just the bottom open. It has a good range of adjustment, from very tight to restricted lung hits, base airflow inlets are 2x 2.3mm max down to a single .8mm, under coil is 3.5mm.

3FVape also has a 22mm version with a glass tank, haven't tried that one yet, FT also has a glass tanked version I haven't tried, but it is 23mm.

Overall I like it, pretty much vapes like a GTII with a bit more airflow. Posts/screws are also nicer to work with then the Taifun.

Where did you get the plastic tank from? Also is the Tobeco version better then the FT 318L version

I received my FastTech 316L Hurricane (SKU 3718300) on 1/27/16. Very impressed with the quality of this version. I have authentic Kayfuns and although this Hurricane clone isn't to that high of a standard, it's darn close. At least on par with my TFV4, Crown, Subtanks, and Bellus. Very easy to build and wick. Excellent mouth to lung RTA. Now the reviews of the other FastTech Hurricane clones aren't so good so be sure you get the 316L version. We'll see how the plastic tank holds up over time but the included SS tank also works fine (thank God for temp control, hehe).

Well. I just ordered that very one on FT. Sure looks good. That's 3 I have to wait on now, Taifun GT-S, Ubertoot UTA2, and this Hurricane 3718300 all from FT. I should find at least 1 that works out for me (hopefully all 3). Now the waiting game. Till then my Lemo V1 will be at my side.

Edit: I mix my own juice, Unflavored w/2% FA Flash. I hope that the Flash doesn't cause any problems (I haven't heard that it is a tank cracker anyway). Other than that, I should be good to go.

I got the Tobeco clone about a week ago, and my thoughts mirror yours. And yes, its a nicer looking Taifun, and not very original. I like it though.

Unfortunately Kanvape no longer has any Tobecos listed. I would suggest getting the 316SS version previously linked from Fasttech.

From what I have read, it is a Better executed Taifun, plus it is made out of 316 Stainless Steel. That said, it is enough like a Taifun style that I wanted to get one. We shall see though.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about that. I did order it on the 14th, so during CNY. Oh well, when ever it gets here. My Ubertoot from FT has shipped and I have the USPS tracking # so that will arrive before too long I hope, and keep me occupied till my Hurricane ships. I could imagine 1000's (maybe 10's of 1000's ?) of orders came in during CNY, from here in the States and all over Europe. I'm just glad I don't live somewhere like Bikini Island or someplace like that, as I don't think FT does air drops. Prolly they would send someone out in a canoe with a paddle from China, talk about you're wait time.

Hi guys, I've been reading on the thread and I am interested in a Hurricane clone, not the authentic it's too expensive for a newbie like me. I see the 316SS version may be the better option. What kind of vaper does the Hurricane suit? A tootle-puffer? Whilst I don't consider myself a cloud chaser, but with preferred tanks such as the Aromamizer and Griffin I may not be a tootle-puffer.

It can be adjusted down to MTL draw or restricted lung hits, however it is somewhere between 1/3 and half the air flow of the two tanks you mentioned. If you don't mind the airflow it is a good choice.

Thank you. I do have a Subtank, but at most times I think the air flow on it to be too restrictive and I find myself using the Aromamizer and Griffin. I'm still keen on trying out the Hurricane as I keep on hearing the flavour is good on it. That and the Indulgence MT.

I have three Taifun clones and an authentic along with two Hurricane V2s and a Firebird. The hurricanes have slightly larger juice slots and better airflow and the build deck has larger screws and posts. The black hurricane with plastic tank clone did not perform nearly as well as the Hotcig GTII-S out of the box. Had the same problem with other Taifun clones and the Firebird and fixed them the same way. If you're running an eLiquid with any PG then this won't be a problem. With my DIY 100VG they like to trap bubbles at the juice slots due to the small clearance between the chimney top cap and ID of tank. The GTII-S with thinner glass did not have that problem. Neither did the glass hurricane. If you're not a fan of plastic tanks which you can also find on some taifun clones as well, then this one has glass. Although you can't use a clipped to the inside or folded over wick technique in that glass hurricane. And if you don't mind plastic then there are bell caps for both. I have taken the base apart on a GTII-S and milled the air holes into slots for better airflow. I also use 2mm flat washers on the taifun posts to better secure coil legs. The larger screws and posts on the hurricanes work well and I don't feel compelled to drill out the air holes. The AFC on the hurricane has detents where the GTII-S does not. Both the taifuns and hurricanes support this build technique which I find perform better than solid core cellulose wick techniques that trim flush to the inside of the chimney base or fold over all of which perform better than pulling the wick through the juice slots and trimming to the outside. Both are easy to modify the juice channels larger if so desired. On the tobecco GT2 I had issues with the 510 center screw and spring and replaced them with these. Simply trim off to desired length with a dremel cut off wheel. The GTII-S and hurricanes do not have that problem. Overall if you desire better airflow, larger juice slots and larger posts and screws out of the box, go with the hurricanes. If you're good with the GT2 stick with it.

They sound about the same, but I think the Kayfun came before the Taifun
