So I got sick as a dog suddenly the other day and its been horrible. vaping isn't as good when you're sick! This post is for me to whine and vent about being sick and maybe others want to whine and vent too?

Also, I just want to say, I love this community, this is the first time I ever felt like a part of a community so quickly.

I feel pretty bad, too. I'm on Suboxone (I have some demons) and started my second taper, down to 4mg from 6mg. My bones ache and I'm having trouble keeping anything down, even water. But I'm pretty used to puking, so that part's not too bad.

If you don't know what Suboxone is you can read about it here:
Suboxone.com - Office-Based Treatment for Opioid Dependence
It's nothing like Methadone.

Shatner, I feel for you. I've been on opiates for almost 6 years now and while I'm not addicted to them I am dependent on them. It would be so hard to come off them. I've had to withdraw off morphine a couple times since the wreck and it is hell on earth. If you need an ear just give me a holler!

Hubby has been on Morphine for about that long. He's had to go through withdrawal once and I pray he never has to again.

Flagyl and Bactrim at the same time. It is a nasty combination. I went thru packs of gum like crazy, lol

Yeah, the first time was the hardest. I had been on it via pain pump in the hospital. I could hit the button every 5 minutes. After three weeks they pulled me off it cold turkey. It was a looooong night. I wish you and your husband the best!

You all are so brave for posting. You have inspired me to post mine.
I have been dianosed with everything from post traumatic stress to depression. I lost two of the closest people in the world to me to suicide. I guess it messed me up pretty bad. This was almost three years ago and I have completely withdrawn and never missed being social until now. Actually putting myself out there on here and having great people respond has made a huge difference in my life and I have actually started taking that into the "real world". This site is an awesome place and there are so many great people here and I feel I owe you a heartfelt thanks. I am starting to get a bit more comfortable chatting with people on the forums ( even though I can be quite awkward at times) lol! But you all have made a huge difference in my life!

Same here, sensay. I'm 26, with an extreme opiate addiction, that I'm currently taking care of via Suboxone. I'm also a recovering .... addict. Been off the stuff for ~6 years. On top of all that, I'm about 4 years divorced. And let me tell you what. My Ex-Wife didn't make anything easy for me. We don't have kids, thank something. But man, she's a meddler. Even up until this day, she trys to turn my family against me. It's stopped in the mean time due to a nasty text that I sent her.

I've also lost someone close to me recently from suicide. He managed to pull a double barrel shotty trigger with his toe. The barrel was on his nose.

I'm diagnosed with Major Depressive disorder, or whatever it's called. I also have Fibromyalgia from nerve damage from IVing ..... I take Cymbalta for both the depression and Fibro, since it was just proven for pain with fibro. It helps a LOT!

All of the above made me withdrawal from society. I finally got a facebook page and started hanging out with friends again. Feels good!

You're not alone.
