Well, I'm a special kind of stupid. LOL
Received my two yesterday. I like the 306, just love the i06.
Tried to punch one to either attempt use in a tank or use as a top feeder with my GLV.
Smushed it beyond use, had to toss it.

Put my last i06 in the second one and tried a few tanks, no go.
Put a 510-510 extender on, and it looked like it would be long enough with the extender.
My reasoning, the small space where the sleeve doesn't go all the way down, may just give it just enough "air" to pull juice up to the atty for tank use.
Wouldn't even go in my tanks, but, with my VPX, it slid right in, no problem.

I was excited! Until I found that there wasn't enough air, no draw at all, so that "space" must have been right inside the bottom cap. Attempted to take the whole thing apart and chalk it up to a fail.
Bigger fail, I couldn't get the top back off. Overnight in the freezer, the atty came right out, but the sleeve and the VPX top cap are a permanent pair.

So... I'm out both sleeves, and my only purple VPX.
I guess the sleeve is usable as is, but it will sure look funny with that top cap hanging on it. hahahaha

I think I'll just go back to bed now.

Take your hairdryer and heat this up with it, once if reaches a certain temp the heat will expand this set up and it will pull right apart. :)

The sleeve is working great Warf, but I'm not sure why x Greg x or anyone needs and O-Ring, I've got my sleeve in an Empire Drip shield and have no issue with this. Can someone enlighten me here on this oring thing please ?

That's a good question mwa, I had found a o-ring that was a little thinner but I just tried my DS with the stock o=ring and used a touch of juice and it slid right in :thumb:

Glad you're diggin' it....... thanks !!!

Ordered a few more to play with, instant receipt again. Wow, you must have them couriered cross country on a Concorde :)

(These are key items for those of us using a vvpv, and I plan to use one on a bottom feeder with an ss catch cup - should look good with a shortie ss drip tip)

Thanks!
