Don't mind me or let me scare you, I just dont like stuff without labels, if you google 28g a1 kanthal and find somewhere that sells it besides an ecig place or ebay let me know. That price scares me also, maybe I'm just a paranoid person lol. I paid $40 for a spoil from kanthal and it was 50ft (32g) I bought 30g a1 from pelican 50ft for $50. Just to give you an idea what prices go for with labels and from the manufacturer. I doubt their markup is that high. Maybe the guy makes it, I dont know

I assumed he was just buying in some pretty major bulk and re-spooling it.

probably, like I said, dont mind me lol. I would rather pay $50 and be 100% rather than save $45 and get Alzheimers. I would love to save the $$ but I would worry the whole time and then if I developed a health problem I would think that was the cause and it could be something else major that I just blow off. I think I'm paranoid lol
that's how I am, always paranoid about my health recently. This year has been the worst year for me health wise, one thing after another. Is kenthal a darker wire? The kenthal I got is dark compared to my nichrome wire.
Did you try vaping out of it after using a genny mod? I cant use anything but Gens now, the taste is awful in cartos to me
Yes I did, and was like omg and I have been using this. But timing worked out pretty good as sisters dr jumped all over her about smoking today, she really doesn't want her to vape either with her lung problems, but trust me if she didn't smoke and didn't vape the dr wouldn't have to worry about lung problems killing her, her husband and I would!! So I wrapped a fresh coil for the vivi nova filled the tanks with one of the juices I have can't even tell you which one, and gave to her.

you can find the specs for each gauge and grade. I measured the diameter and checked both resistance and continuity. If they didn't all match, then alloy makeup must be different. For example, at the same diameter (gauge) nichrome 80 has a slightly lower resistance and a slightly higher continuity than Kanthal A-1 specs Same is true, but to a lesser degree, between the different grades of Kanthal.
Kingorchid is accurate in his labeling. Currently, his 30 awg is listed as Kanthal D and the 30 awg he has is Kanthal A.
IMO, for vaping purposes, D grade is fine. There is only 100 deg. F difference in max. continuous operating temp. 1300 vs 1400 and these are temps our coils never reach.
I would imagine that there is no label on the small 100 ft spools he sells because he respools, but there is a Kanthal label on the larger spool on at least his 36awg listing. He respools off the larger ones. Buys in quantity, has no overhead like pelican nor does he have to be ISO which is expensive. Makes sense to me. Passes the savings on. Plus the wire performs. I'm loving the 30 and the 28. And twisted 36 rocks too.

The guy is in New Jersey, not China, has been around for a long time, and hundreds of ECFers have purchased from him including all those technobugs in the atty and bat modders forums.
You can PM him in ebay and he will respond quickly. He ships super fast.

Pelican sells 50 feet for $50. That's a buck a foot. All their grades and gauges are the same price within the range of gauges we vapers typically use.
Zen~ sell 20 feet for $3.00. That's 15 cents a foot.
Carl at silicawicks sells 100 ft for $13 or 13 cents a foot.
Kingorchid sells 100 ft for $8 or 8 cents a foot.
Is Zen~ and Carl selling fake Kanthal?

Same here. I don't think the cartos taste bad though - just very muted. Genis are much better.I don't know. I will order some nichrome and compare them and buy some kanthal off that ebay person and compare them
@Faceless I got it at that price from that same vendor and it was labeled A1. Doesn't mean jack as you can put a label on anything. But that's the price it should be. Not until us vapers started using it did prices skyrocket. I guess better be safe than sorry but works great for me.
