It's very hard to explain why it is what it is... I am sure when Faceless gets his he may be able to figure it out? I have Zens, Ihy's, DiD's, but the orion is a different beast. It hits so strong and fast and it's almost like your drinking the juice. I am puffing it right now and oh my goodness... WoW. LOL

Well did as suggested tight at the bottom of the coil not touching the base, made sure wick was closer to the post but not touching ,went through another 6 coils feel getting a hot spot and pop the coil between positive screw and wick.
This is really frustrating ready to throw this thing out the window

It's your wick, it's always the wick.

You've either scraped it going through the wick hole and it's shorting there or it's dented or not oxidized enough.

You can stop like 90% of coil pops by not using a fresh battery for breaking in a new coil and firing very very quickly. If you have the top hotspot you can see it on a very quick fire. The weaker battery will keep it from popping instantly. At that point make some adjustments and try to fire it quickly again.

If you're really out of your mind grab one of the crappy bic pens. Cut off the top ink tube part that doesn't have ink and shove that through the hole in your tank. Then roll a thinner wick and put it through this insulator. You'll probably get it on the first coil.

haha, I went through 15 popped coils one night. My old lady woudld pop her head in LOL at me then come back later after she heard me cursing more and LOL again. Now it makes me laugh. I sware it almost drove me back to smoking cigs. Eventually I found rolling it tighter for the part that travels through to the tank wad the answer

Yes on the wick... make sure your wick is oxidized fully!! Torch it red hot again No quenching in water is needed. put juice on it and light with lighter and let it burn out on it's own X 3 to X 5. Very important that your wick is fully oxidized. You can also wrap your coil prior to putting it in. sometimes thats easier.

Damn! The pluid edition is going on sale the same day as the ZAP! Since I don't have any Zenesis products and the Provari looks so good with the ZAP I have to skip the pluid edition. What a bummer.

I dought ProVape is going to have alot to start... Especialy when everybody wants one. you will know if you have one before it's time for the Pluid Edition. By then they will be sold out, I bet. Good luck on the ZAP.

Hi kellyd....I just wanted to point out that I've tried to place several of the "coil and wicking" tips on The iHybrid Reference Links Site. If you start at about Line 7....you'll see advice from several of the veteran members. FYI

p.s. It still needs some organizing...but if you look closely, you should find some awesome tips & tricks from some of these folks (including Faceless).
