I did manage to do an almost perfect coil last night, which is pretty cool, never had one come out that night before. But figure the more I mess with it the better with this stuff I will get.

Perfectly shaped you mean?

If you get them nice and even it can always be perfected with a toothpick or syringe. Little poking usually makes them pretty perfect.

Is this stuff really hard to learn? I watched one vid until my eyes glazed over and now am afraid I will never get this.

No it's not that bad. The first time can be a little frustrating but it's well worth it. Generally after that it's pretty smooth sailing. I think there is an inherent learning curve on any rebuildable. Nancy was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago and she got it working pretty quick.

It's all about oxidizing the wick well, the coil wrapping is secondary.

Not really hard to learn, but like anything you need to practice

I mean I not only got them nice and even last night, but fired beautifully too without having adjust. I know it won't happen often, but it was nice to see it once lol

Oh it'll happen lots! Especially on previously coiled wicks. They tend to really get worked in and replacing a coil on a used wick is usually a one shot deal. I know people that are still using the same wick after 6 months with 1-2 week coil changes. Really depends on the juice but the wicks can last so long.

Hi

Is there any 911 specials left available for purchase..?

Have the ihybrid set up with red tubes and love it...

yes, they are on the bottom of this page iHybrid , I have 4 of them, they do not come with tips :) Still $175

Faceless you are a genius. I got some of the story of the iHybrid from Mad Murdock himself. I'm using my newly acquired iHy with a kick @ 10w and loving it. MM set it up for me and we had a sit down where he showed me some tips n tricks. This thing was built for Pluid. He set me up with an expierimental wick that seems to have broken in , in under an hour of actual use. It's taken me a minute to adapt to the freeness of the draw vs my clearos that I've been accustomed to. This device has become my go to.

As a millwright I understand the complexities involved in the manual machining process. ( some of the CNC as well.) I'm very impressed with the fit and finish of the iHybrid.

Thanks!! Now....how much do I have to pay you to jump kick Murdock and steal his recipe?

@Faceless,
do you sell the matching color tips or did I miss this? I see the sets but no tips on the Site... sorry newb to ihybrid but got one on the way :)

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

If you bought yours prior to yesterday it comes with a tip :)

I can definitely help with that, though I will need line drawings of the engravings and good pictures or descriptions of where the engravings are and the shape of the tank cover cutout so I can make a 3D model of it since I won't have a physical one to work off of.

I will get with you later :)

ok so i missed all the action last night, and I was just wondering if there were more Pluid editions available?

Yes, there are more than 4 now, some peoples payments go kicked back to them :) they can be found at the top of this page iHybrid

Also rose,

If you ever get to a point were it seems like it's going nowhere you can take the "easy way" out. It might not make a lot of sense now but you will see what I mean when you have it in your hands. You can use the top ink tube of a regular bic pen. The part that doesn't have any ink and then put that through the wick hole. Cut it to size and then do a thinner wick that passes through this insulating tube. That will instantly eradicate the majority of your shorts and make it quite easy to wrap a coil. Upside is it makes it very easy. Downside is thinner wick so if you chain vape you have to tilt a bit more due to slower wicking.

So the bigger wick plus the tilting is why I was having the over wicking?
