Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

I don't know, but all three of them, the 2 T3S tanks and the MT3S, all drip like mad from the mouthpiece when I have them upside down for filling; part of all my "prep" now includes having pre-rolled paper towel tubes for stuffing in the mouth-end whenever I fill; it at least makes the cleanup easier. Neither the ARO Pyrex nor the Mini PT II does this, so I can only conclude that the "top" of the liquid chamber isn't sealed, in the xT3S's. Which maybe accounts for how prone they are to gurgling. I like 'em, that T3S was the first "real" tank I had (I ain't counting those iClear16's, 'cause they suck!), but they do have their issues -- I guess that's why they're only $6. :D

I'm looking at some much bigger tanks, for when I get that Sigelei; last night I was showing the ol man what I want for xmas -- a Nautilus. :D He said "Maybe." Then I showed him the Hypertank 2, just $13 at Desert Vapes, or $10 if I ordered from somewhere in China (because Desert Vapes doesn't have the silver one I want), and that price didn't seem bad to him at all, compared to the Nautilus. :D

I just stick it between my legs like a skinny soda can. :D That way I can find it easily when I want it again, and have control of it when I need both hands! I'm getting a pouch lanyard pretty soon, whenever that shipment from HK finally gets here. I figure probably mid-month; tomorrow will be 2 wks since I ordered it, so maybe a couple more. That will definitely make things easier for driving.

You bet I will! :thumb:

Thx!

Oh, that's what's going on! Most of the bottom coils will drip when you open them up, upside down. (My Aro's do.) Usually a good size drop or so. Yep, open over a vaper towel. I often run a pipe cleaner through after that. My hunch is that it's the juice that was on the coil, under the chimney. Once you break the vacuum, it runs out. But once cleaned out and refilled, they shouldn't leak in use. And gurgle only if you're drawing too hard or have flavor wick issues.

Ooooh, clever Andria! Show him the pricey stuff first, then say you'll "settle" for something less, he thinks it's a bargain :)

You may also be dealing with excess condensation. I've noticed with my polycarbonate tanks that there is often far more condensation that comes out when compared to my removable drip tip toppers.

Ok... it seems like more than a drop, though; I stuff those rolled paper towels into the mouthpiece to catch it, and when I pull it out, it's completely sodden at the end, so I have to clip the end off and run it back down into the mouthpiece to wipe it up. Figured it was just part of the whole thing; had to empty a lot of ashtrays, as a smoker. :D

Precisely. ;)

He often walks by and sees me ogling some catalog or other, and usually asks, ordering again? But usually I'm not, I'm just ogling. :D This time I said, no, I'm shopping for my xmas present; he goes, oh yeah, must be expensive then. I said well not really, less than $40... this is the CADILLAC of tanks! And I explained to him all the nifty features that make it the Cadillac of tanks, he's nodding along, totally getting it. Then, I said "but when I get that Sigelei I do want a bigger tank, check this one out..." and showed him the HyperTank II (I like the II better, it's take-apart-able). He says, "$13 huh? That's what you paid for tht last one, wasn't it?" (the mini PT II). "We could probably do that." I'm just smiling, smiling, wishing that Desert Vapes had the silver one so I could order it when I order the Sigelei. :D I've *mentioned* the IBTanked to him, and the high cost, but that it's basically a custom made tank, so he gets why that one is so costly, and I think he'll be cool with that too, when we get the fed refund. He's just so absolutely thrilled not to have to go by Walgreen's every other day and plop down $11 anymore, not to have to smell and get choked by my smoke in the truck, he's pretty much cool with all this vaping junk -- delighted with it, in fact, as it both keeps me from smoking, and gives me something new to "play with" so I'm DISTRACTED from the idea of smoking!

BTW, I'm trying out that idea of only using 3 of the 4 strands in the P&C yarn... so far so good, as to the gurgling/leaking!

I pretty much keep a handle on that, the clear tips get so icky looking after a while, I have to do that rolled-paper-towel-in-the-mouthpiece maneuver. But the stuff that soaks the paper towel when I'm filling is definitely yellow, e-juice -- if I don't re-mop it when I'm finished, I feel that greasy feeling on my lips, bleah!

How are those Fasttech coils??? I was thinking about ordering a 50 pack to use for PTII heads and when I finally get around to getting a KFL clone. Did you buy the wicked ones or just the coils????

There Ok, these are the ones I got
$6.80 Replacement Wicks and Wires for Rebuildable Atomizer (50-Pack) 50-pack - 2.0ohm / w/plastic case

The Ω read a little higher that they say. I unwrap them to 5/6 wraps and they come out around 2Ω. I used the excess I clip off for 1 big flavor wick. Used them on EVOD/PTII type heads with good results, but I'm using carto's right now so that gear is just collecting dust.

Those are the same ones that I ordered. They are still sitting in the plastic box they came in. Never used one. Thought I would, but I tried a micro coil before I received these from slowtech and haven't touched them since.

I've separated the silica from a couple, but haven't even tried silica rewicking since I'm loving the cotton so much.

I did pull the silica out of one and rewicked with cotton, worked good, but can't dry burn like with silica, and it is small wire so I fubared it trying to remove the cotton to dry burn it, so I only did it once.

Yeah. Never used those coils. Only micro coils with cotton. A+ flavor.

I still have a couple of mine left. I use them--but yeah, I've made a couple of my own micros and I like them too. :) Got a Kayfun 3.1 clone a couple of days ago (a PIF gift), and got it working sort of. After watching a video on it, I totally did it wrong. Wasted both the coils it came with, and one of my own. But I didn't do too badly with no instruction, just couldn't get it to vape. I realize now that I will have to invest more time than I have on the weekdays to get it working. Once I do I know I'll love it...the flavor that I did get from the one hit that worked was incredible.

wanted to pop in here and say that all the tanks ive tried with the itaste, the kanger mini protank 3 outperforms everything across the board. its as if they made this tank for it. definitely try one sometime soon, i think all you itaste fanatics out there will agree that the vv is much more sensitive with this tank.

I've had the vv for about 2 months now and it appears that I have to recharge more quickly than before. It goes from green to yellow( stays yellow for a very short time then goes red). I need to pay more attention to puff counter and see if my observations are correct. I have been charging with what I use to charge my cell phone. Is this causing the problem?--Hawk

I haven't noticed that...did you recently switch your coils LR? That could be the reason for the shorter life, if you also use higher volts/watts.

After 2 months of daily use the battery will not hold a charge as long as a new VV3. Your cell phone charger is fine as I use them all the time. If you changed toppers and use more voltage or wattage the battery will drain faster.

I use carto tanks now and standard resistance cartos. I can get a great vape using 6.5 and 7 watts and have noticed a longer time between charges. 2 of VV3's are 5 months old and working fine, but not like the new VV3 I just received.

As far as a torch, I just use one of those cheap butane cigar lighters. Doesn't get nearly hot enough, but does the trick when needed. Cost 5 bucks.

How about $6.38 (FREE shipping):

Amazon.com: Gun Metal Color 90 Degree Angle Refillable Butane Torch Lighter with Hands Free Flame Lock - Metal - 2 3/4 Inch: Everything Else

so I would press the fire button then pinch with tweezers.

Ceramic Tipped Tweezers...$11.11

$11.11 AKTION Heat Resistant Stainless Steel Tweezers for E-Cigrettes - ceramic pointed tip at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I've been able to cut the nic content down to 6mg... soon to try 0 to see if I can completely remove nicotine from my life.

Well...nicotine has been enjoyed (since the American Indians' Peace Pipes) because it's a "Dual-Action" psychotropic drug. When you're tired/sleepy it will energize you...but when you're nervous/anxious it will calm you down. (Plus it has incredible effects on Short Term Memory!)

Me...being 68 yo and with a family history of Alzheimer's...I keep my nicotine level at 12mg. since nicotine is the only substance (so far) found to be effective in the delay/prevention of senile dementia/Alzheimer's.

That is so good to know; one of my grandmothers suffered "Senile Dementia" (she was 95 when she died), and the other, Alzheimers. Both of 'em scare the bejeebers out of me.

I can't handle anything over 9mg without becoming nauseous within 2 hrs, so I guess I'll stick to that. At least with 9mg I'm not vaping with practically every breath, as I did when I was just staying at 6mg all day. However I do find that if I don't drop back to 6mg after dinner, then when I go to bed my heart is just racing, pounding, and it's damn hard to go to sleep in the midst of all that.

All those links were great, and I guess I'm going to need to get one of those torches, if I want my coils to stay tight and fit in that tiny little bit of metal. However, just last night I hit on something I might use to "poke" at the coil while it's attachd to the battery, that will fry neither me nor the battery -- one of those wooden "orange sticks" that come in manicure sets! I have one with a beveled edge on one side, and a point on the other -- that would be perfect!

I posted this before, but my first one did this. After about two mouths the battery capacity dropped down about 40%. I have also noticed that if I charge it fully one day and don't use it, it reads 3.9V-4V the next day. I don't think this is normal as my other two units have not suffered the same fate. It has also, recently, developed issues with part of the LED dropping out and then back on. It's also reset itself a couple of times.

Kat are you my flight attendant?

Are you planning on being my co-pilot? (I need to know so that I can rearrange my flighty schedule.) ;)

Hey, we all start learning with small steps. After a while, they can build to a vast trove of knowledge, some of which may be useful.

Higher PG will carry more flavor and give more TH. And keep in mind that tastes change as we go down this path :)

Nicely done! You ought to blog that post for reference.
