Are you using the same topper? If so adjust the voltage up and down to get the same taste you had. If you changed toppers, you are SOL as each one is different, IMHO. The VV 3.0 is just a battery, it is the topper that gives you the vape that you like.

:vapor:

Lots of truth to that, Burnie.

You can also check the voltage on the 901, and resistance of whatever topper you use on it, then calculate the watts consumed by that setup, then set the VV wattage to match, so it will automatically adjust to that value.

I find that many of my flavors will have their particular "sweet spot" for vaping, and they're not all the same. Maybe you're just vaping at a totally different power level...

Thanks guys. Looks like it's time to dust off the old multimeter.

If it is like most, I believe it is regulated to 3.5 then drops off as battery dies.

You have to use the same topper on each for an apple to apples comparison. Different toppers will offer different taste to the same juice.

I have been using my Itaste VV3 for about a mouth. I keep thinking I want to buy another toy, but every time I look at something new and ask myself what is better about this other device, I come up blank. The Itaste VV3 is small, works well and can be popped into any USB. It's really a pretty great device. Unless Innokin comes out with 10,000 mAh impact resistant/waterproof mil-spec device with the same form factor, I might just stick with this one. At least for this week. :p .....someone say Provape's having a sale tomorrow? hrmmmm

I've been using Evods and Mini PT2s, which I have been happy with, but I thought I'd give carto tanks a try and I've ordered a IBTank. So at least I have one new toy coming.;)

The one question I do have concerns the switch light. Once in a while, when the device is being changed and I take a puff, the light flashes through its three colors. This seems to happen when the device is close to being fully charged. I works fine after I unplug it. Has anyone else run into this before?

Fixed that for ya ;)

Dreaming of tiny Innokin vapes -- guess I'd call them vapelets.

Sorry, Ed, but I have no clue about the lites. Early Xmas presentation perhaps?

Mine did that just today to me. I thought it odd as well. My guess is that it was right at full charge and then when I vaped and released the the fresh charge, the device interpreted it as being full and did the quick light sequence. Or something like that.

Thanks. I was also thinking it was something like that, I just wanted to see if others have had this happen and make sure it wasn't the start of an actual issue.

This is completely normal.

When the itaste becomes fully charged, the power light goes out and the battery basically shuts off (actually it is kind of in stand by). This is the overcharge protection kicking in. (And yes, the overcharge protection is a completely normal function of the charge cycle, so don't worry. It happens every time the unit gets fully charged)

If you take a hit on it, while plugged in, it turns itself on and goes through it's initial boot/self test which is the red yellow green thing you see every time you turn it on

The USB pass through does NOT come off the charger but rather off the battery, so when you take that first hit, you have now discharged the battery a little bit. So the unit powers on, and then turns green because the charging cycle begins again. If you leave it alone awhile, it will fully charge again and the green light will extinguish.

One thing to keep in mind, even though the unit seems to turn off when it is fully charged, it isn't in a true off state. You still have to hit the button 3 times to REALLY turn it off.

Now that I am analog free and vaping again for 2 weeks I found myself with this same urge. My solution was to purchase an itaste 3.0 6 rivet to keep my 1 rivet VV from getting lonely. Oh, and a couple T3S's to go with my T3 and ARO....my iclear16's have been banished to the drawer of misfit electronics. lol

I never did address this part of your post. To answer your question, the most logical solution is the VV's big brother, the Innokin MVP. It's a bigger form factor but caries all the advantages of the VV plus a monster battery life. The MVP goes with me more often than the VV but I use them for different times and places.

Thanks p.opus for the explanation, that does make sense.

Twolostminds and CaptShay, I had thought of another VV with the extra 6 rivet bling or a MVP, but I'm not a big fan of electronics without user replaceable batteries, so I was thinking of something with replaceable batteries next. Of course you can make a fine argument that these Chinese made APVs will likely not last any longer than its batteries anyway. I should take delivery of a IBTank this week, so at least I'll have one new thing to play with.

New member to the innokin owners club! Got the 6 rivet version with a t3s and 2 spare heads (2.5ohm) for £31 delivered. So much better than my ego setups. A couple of concernes, it's arrived with a couple of scratches on the screen and one of the rivets isn't totally flush with the case... Worth speaking to the retailer?? Otherwise love it!!

No film over mine, brought battery only so no box or anything either... Maybe I'm just picky! It's the rivet that is more concerning, it feels solid no play but it's sticking out slightly

If it were me, I would be sending it back. I would think a rivet sticking up would catch on things and besides, it is suppose to be a new item.

On the positive side you have 5 more rivets then the rest of us.

Girlfriend and I both have the single rivet style. Have had over a month and works great. Only one problem, mine has proven why they added more rivets. It has come slightly separated just above the button. I used super glue to put back tight, but the super glue gave out yesterday. Read somewhere to use epoxy so that will be my next try at fixing on my next day off. Other than that I really like this product.

That's how I use to kill all my ego's also. You want to be careful while unplugging it from the charger or you will find out why they added a rivet in the bottom as well ;)

I had a feeling Innokin had a good reason for 6 rivets. I have 2 VV3's both over a month old and no problems so far.
