One two, cha cha cha, three four vape

The rattle is mostly in the + - buttons. If you hold it up to your ear and shake you can hear it on most 6 rivet V3's

Put your finger over the fire button (without firing) and shake.

Huh! I'll have to do that when I get my replacement on Wed. I thought for sure it was coming from the fire button since it jiggles a bit.

The fire button shakes a little but it is mostly the smaller buttons that make the baby rattle sound. But really, you have to try to make it do it and then you have to be listening for it.

There is a fix. Don't shake your vape. :)

I bought my mom a V3 today for her birthday after reading through this forum and also because I like my own MVP. My mom is trying to quit analogs and got a ego a few weeks ago. While I don't see her usage turning into a hobby like mine has and she will likely not mess with the vv/vw at all, I do think she will like the pass-through and the fact that it doesn't roll off the table when she sits it down. I just want her to be successful :)

It IS my sole talent in life, Speed. ;)

I've used the Thingie too, a time or two. Rather than the on/off on/off, I've just sort of settled into my new accidental experiment mode of filling, soaking, and letting it sit for a week. :)

Katdarling as they say patience is a virtue and you sure must have it. Might not be a bad idea as the juice more then likely continues to steep in the tank.

I did order another IB Tanked. This time the standard 19mm, but I have no idea when IKV will restock and notify me. I guess in the mean time I'll order a box of Boge cartos. If I were you I could wait, but I can't.

Kat what resistance cartos do you use and what do you set the volts or watts at? Thanks

I have had my Itaste vv 3.0 for about 2 months now, recentally upgraded the tank to the Kanger protank 2 and have had absolutely no problems or issues with the protank 2. it fits right on and works really well. thinking about buying another one to have as a spare or maybe an innokin mvp, however i think i would want to have another protank 2 or maybe protank 3 for it.

I've been hemming and hawing about a PT2. That vendor, vapingtown on ebay, has them for 14.99. Pretty good deal.

Now to order a few more IB Tanked.

Has anyone tried the 19mm standard tank?

I'm lazy...so I've only used 19m XL's on my VV's (since more capacity/less filling).

However...since the VV's are 15mm X 15mm I am thinking of trying 15mm XL for my next IBTanked...just to see how it looks.

Anyone have any suggestions on a case? I'll have 2 vv 3s (2nd ordered and on its way) and several tanks. If I can squeeze any juice/chargers in there without it being too big that'd be awesome too. There are several generic ones out there, just didn't know if any vv 3 owners had ones they liked specifically.

You might not like this idea (or, you might), but I use those soft, material eye glasses cases for my "stick" batts. I toss them all in my purse in a makeup bag, but still, that does not prevent scratching from one to the others. I'm pretty sure you'd be able to fit extra supplies in it, too.

Patience is a virtue.
Virtue is a grace.
Grace is a little girl who wouldn't wash her face.

But I digress. The accidental prime really doesn't take any patience at all. It's a Ronco thang (set it and forget it). One only needs plenty of backups so that the karto in question can have a nice long nap. (I honestly discovered my new method when I'd completely forgotten about the karto!)

Speed, I most often use 3.0Ω kartos, as most of what I vape is VV and/or VW. I do have a few 3.7v devices and so I keep a stash of LR kartos around just for those (rarer) occasions. My go-to wattage is 9.2w.

Another tip for karto users. When you FIRST load that freshly primed karto, you all do know to set the voltage or wattage very very low, right? It's the most difficult vape time, as one needs to incrementally increase the power little by little. That's one area where I have LITTLE patience, Speed.

gerry, here's a quick pic. It's an empty tank, but I took it for you to see how a 15mm looks on the iTaste. This one happens to be a gorgeous creation out of the UK. (Unique tanks)

Kat I appreciate your humor and good information. Right now I'm using the LR Boge, but have a box of the SR which I will try soon. I'm using 7 watts on the LR and now I know 9.5 watts is a good setting for the SR.:toast:

Thanks Speed. :) Let us know if you have a preference with higher resistance. I find I like the the potential wider range of power settings and the longer lasting vape of the 3.0Ω'ers.

Also, thought I'd mention that even tho around 9w is my usual, I still always adjust based on taste.

Kat, thank you for being kind enough to share your knowledge. I'm so new to the tanks and cartos and at first it seems very confusing. It appears from your reply that the 3.0 ohm cartos are longer lasting and you have a wider range to adjust the vape. Does it affect the battery life and most of all does it make the vape better tasting?

I think the reason I've been with clearomizers is from looking at sites who sell cartos and tanks. Sizes, ohms, 510, 810, etc.

Oh yes I do know you start vaping at a low wattage or voltage. Learned that from IB Tanked. :)

Speed, my pleasure! I realize that I'm in a small crowd here, meaning that most iTaste VV owners are of the newer vaping sect, rather than veteran vapers. I do see the value in this device, even for someone who has been vaping for awhile. As a vet, I see it as a FANTASTIC back up device, and equally useful as an out and about one. I'm not sure how much knowledge I have to offer, but whatever I've got, I'm more than pleased to share.

ALL of it seems confusing at first. Believe me, I was there, too. My first start up kit came with a 510 atomizer and a CARTRIDGE (no, not a karto... no, not a clearo) and a stick (cigalike) battery.

That was all I knew. I ended up dripping for a full year before finally deciding I could handle the "fuss" of a karto. It took another 6 months or so before I ventured into the world of tanks. Initially, I thought they were the most gross thing I'd seen. I detested seeing the vliquid swimming around on top. Now? LOL. Now I wouldn't have it any other way.

The confusion will diminish. You'll slowly begin to understand an ohm from a volt, and a 510 from an 801. Then, suddenly, it'll rear its ugly face again, as new and improved mods and toppers hit the market. It's the way of the vape.

Yes, higher resistance kartos do last longer, and put less stress on a battery. However, with VW, we don't need to worry about that. That was more the case for the old 3.7v only devices. Will they make your vape taste better? Yes, and no. That's totally between you and your taste buds.

Are you familiar with Ohm's Law? Talk about confusing! If you're not, you're bound to look at it and say, WHAT?? But little by little, it will make sense.

This chart may help.... or give you a headache. ;)

I received the 19mm standard IBTanked carto tank on 2/10. It is my first carto tank and I must say, I was truly impressed. I had been using Kanger Mini PT2, Aspire BDC ET-S, and Aspire Vivi Novas. I know it is just a glass tube with caps, but the simplicity is the beauty of these. My only complaint is that I thought at least some sort of tip would be included -- it was not. But, this turned out to not be a major issue as I found the tips to the Aspire Vivi Nova and Mini Nova fit just fine -- not to mention the tips from the Mini PT2 fit nicely as well. (Couldn't decide between having a black plastic tip or the metal tip from the PT2... still going back and forth).

All I have to say, after using clearos since September 2013, I think I'm officially converted to these. As a side note, I can't believe the FAQ from IBtanked saying the 19mm standard only holds 1.5 mL of juice (not including the carto itself). I feel like there is a great deal more in there than the 1.5 + ~0.8 mL that the carto holds.
