It took 2.5 years before I saw my first vaper in the wild.

I pretty much vape like I smoked except you can just stick it in your pocket and don't have smoke a whole cigarette or stub out half of it before going inside. Only place I "stealth" vape is in a hotel room. I'd probably stealth vape if I was stuck in a cubicle all day, but in the end they'd have to put me in the loony bin if I was forced to be inside all day anyway.

ETA

I should have mentioned I live near a very small town and still see plenty of local smokers around.

I work from home so no workplace issues for me. If I'm going to be out less than 3 hours or so, I usually don't bring my vape with me or I leave it in the car.

If I'm out for the house for the day somewhere indoors that doesn't allow smoking or vaping, I grab a vape where and when I can, be it stepping outside, going to the restroom or sneaking a drag in a quiet corner. In other words, stealth vaping.

If I'm attracting attention to myself in any way, it's likely to be neutral or bad and any confrontation that might ensue can only end badly for me. I'm on someone else's private property and they get to make the rules. I'm all for constructive confrontation, but I like to pick my battles, and the elements of that type of scenario do not lend themselves to an outcome favorable for me or for vaping in general.

This sounds like me, except that if I ever left my vape at home, it would mean turning around to go back and get it; it goes where I go, in my purse, just as my cigarettes did. Just being without either was/is plenty of reason to have an all-out nic-fit meltdown.

I enjoy the freedom to vape most anywhere through stealth vaping. Church, the ER, the dentist, the courthouse, you name it, and I have likely vaped there. Light vapor and light flavoring, and I've never had a problem. Good practice should the bans get carried away too!

Where I come from, vaping is certainly not mainstream so yes, I would consider myself a stealth vaper also, although being retired I don't leave the house all that often. When I do go out I take out my smallest battery - the sticklike iTaste and a small K1 atty and generally only vape in the car.

That said, I have an in-law who lives in Brighton, England. She tells me that vaping is really picking up there and when two vapers pass each other in the street they hold up their mods in salute. :)

I just posted recently about seeing other vapers in public for the first time. Mainly, I vape at home, at work (in stealth mode) and in the car on the way from one to another, or when we're driving to shopping and back. I don't do it in stores or restaurants, out of courtesy. I do not go to any "smoking areas" anymore. I can put it down long enough to do business on someone else's property. It probably goes without saying that they wouldn't appreciate it if I did vape there. All the same, I am not looking for a confrontation or to challenge anyone's rules.

I carry a gun and a vape setup everywhere I go. I'm not ashamed of either of those choices, but I tend to operate on the principle that no one needs to know about either of them.
"Look at ME" has never been part of my life-program, so the concept of 'stealth' is certainly applicable.

I don't understand the question. I quit sneaking a smoke the day I turned 18. That's 30 years ago now. Since that day I have smoked and now vaped, when and where I want.

That said I would also by the standard be considered a Invisible Vaper. Difference is I'm not hiding it, I'm being respectful and polite.

I DON'T vape where or when smoking might be frowned on. I fact the only thing like this I do differently is I do Vape indoors at home. Haven't smoked inside in over 20years. I also will vape in the car with kids present, but it is uncomfortable.

i see vapers every day at work.

i voop in public places. shhh... don't tell.

Something tells me that if you're vooping in a hotel lobby or in the aisles of WalMart, folks might get upset. These days, though, it would probably be about the vaping part!

Nope, I don't hide it. I just vape respectfully, even in places where "smoking might be frowned upon".

I mostly don't, just because there are SOOOOOOOOO many self-righteous idiots in the world -- but I reserve the right to stealth vape if necessary. :D I would have stealth smoked if I could have gotten away with it, but the stink is such a dead giveaway. I only got away with smoking as a teen because both my parents smoked, the house was FILLED with that smell all the time. :D
