Greetings,

I've just ordered my first ecig, after lurking on this site for hours. I ordered a 510 from electronicstix, along with some juice.

Been wanting to quit "analogs" (as you guys call them, this is new to me) for awhile. I've only been smoking for a couple of years. It started with clove cigs: remember those? I'm talking the sweet-tasting paper wrapped goodness that Obama banned. I've switched to Camel and Malboro lights after the ban. Bad news.



I miss that flavor.


Soon as I saw the clove liquid, I ordered. I figure not only is it more healthy, I can vape anywhere: including in the new car on the upcoming 1k mile trip down south. Beyond that, at work: machine work gets stressful.



I hope it gets here soon!

You'll find that vaping is not the same as smoking(you knew that already).
I slowly tapered off my smoking habit until I was using my PV much more than I was lighting up the "stinkies".
After a month or two, I realized that vaping was much more enjoyable. I did miss the flavor of analogs at first,
but after I began to explore the almost limitless number of flavored e-juices available, I began to wonder why I had become stuck on the same old Marlboro Menthol binge that was my habit for 35+ years.
I truly hope you have the same successful transition that myself and many other vapers have experienced.

Your off to a good start. The hardest part of any difficult transition, is usually making the decision to actually do it.

Welcome! You'll definitely like your 510. Then you'll like it way too much, get ...... that the batteries die too quickly, and start spending all your money trying to find that perfect PV for you as so many of us on this forum have. If you want some strong flavor, I'd recommend freedom smoke USA's juices. They're the strongest and tastiest that I've found (and theres around 300 flavors they offer). They also happen to be some of the least expensive at $6 for 10ml minus an extra 10% with the coupon code they list on their front page. They sell decently priced hardware too and ship flat rate priority.

Depending on the clove flavor you ordered, you may either be quite satisfied or sorely disappointed as theres some that taste like djarum blacks including the filter flavoring. Then others just taste lightly flowery, which is what the clove actually tastes like.

It'll take some getting used to, and I'm sure I'm gonna end up with a few different ecigs before I find that perfect one.


As long as it's less maintenance than a hookah, I'm sure I'll enjoy it!

I really don't like the flavor of analogs. Here in MI we have fire safe (FSC) analogs, and they just taste harsh, no matter what brand you buy. I wonder how healthy the chemicals they use for FSC smokes are, as they taste horrible.


Now to machine down a tip...I do have a chunk of SS 316 laying about.

Got the 510 in.

Smoothest smoke I've ever had. My only complaint is the ejuice. I think it's PG. I can hardly taste the flavor, all I taste is the texture of the vapor (if that makes sense)

I just gotta find the right flavor/juice.

I don't like any of the juices that come with starter kits at all.

Lots of people like the juice at FSUSA and you can pick the PG/VG ratio

I personally like 70%PG/30%VG for flavor and TH but you have to experiment to see what works best for you.

Ah, cloves... I've missed cloves. I'd be interested in knowing how good that flavor is. I smoked Djarum Blacks for years.

How long do 510 atomizers last? Will these get me by for a couple of weeks?


I think the next order for juice is going to be from Vermont vapor, as their samples are well priced, and look to be quality.

I have a small (5ml) sample of a clove juice from L-F that I haven't even really tried yet. Now, I think I need to go dig it out and drip a bit! I never smoked a clove cig, but got it because I love the clove taste - gum, ham... even had clove taffy that everyone cringed at when I tasted a sample and ended up buying a half pound!

Keep on going, it'll be 36 days before you know it!

Being die hard Djarum Special smokers, we tried several clove flavors out there and nothing quite did it. We started making our own mix with Eugenol and some other things tossed in. It was really close and my bf used it exclusively for months. But one day he handed me his PV and said "does this taste right to you?". I took one hit and almost choked. It was completely burnt. The Eugenol had been numbing his mouth and throat so much that he wasn't able to tell when the cart was burnt and was vaping them burnt. It caused some pretty bad throat issues that we hadn't known the cause for until then.

Since then, he gave up the clove and fell in love with Dark Chocolate Raspberry.

LOL! The novelty of that still hasn't worn out for me, either. I'm doing the same thing. I have NEVER smoked indoors.

Past day two!

I've run into a couple of normal PV issues. Batteries running out, and I've just broke an atomizer by dropping it (fell out of my pocket)

Overall, the flavors are tasting better, as is everything I eat and I'm not missing normal analogs.


I can't wait to order more flavors, and some atomizers!

It's been a week since I got the 510

A friend just ordered the same kit. Wish I would have known, I would have sold her mine - I'm ordering the ego-t, and more juice. Seems to solve the only downfall of PV's.

Had a couple of analogs, they both tasted like an ashtray smells. Didn't realize it before, as I can smell now. I've also been coughing a bit, and my throat has been sore. It's slowly going away. Suppose it's either from the PG liquid but I think it's withdraw. Everyone says it's bronchitis (sp?) but I feel GREAT, besides the cough and runny then dry nose.

Hookah tastes 10x better then it ever has. I enjoy one every now and then.

I still like the vaping (was smoking) experience. I'm past analogs, but will continue to vape. Now to try all the flavors!

Yep, it's amazing to go back to an analog and wonder why you ever smoked it when a week or so ago you wondered if you could ever give it up. It's an amazing feeling.
