Yah; another subject, but I thought this deserved it's own thread.

As you've read, hubby had to take an apt in the big city due to his job being relocated. Apts in the loop are expensive, so hubby has a room mate. No worries of a mid life crisis for him - he's going back to his bachelor days! Apt is even decorated in mid-90s bachelor chic, complete with black futons, mis-matched bath towels, boom box and of course, big TV LOL

Anyway, the room mate. I haven't met him, but I'm sure he's good people as hubby wouldn't room with just anyone. Knowing there's someone paying 1/2 the rent, we realize that it's not just "our" place and are sensetive to that fact.

When I was unpacking the kitchen, I had a makeshift area set up on top the fridge for my 510. Work a little, unpack a little, take a drag. I kind of chuckled at one point, remembering moving into a few apt. back in the day of actually smoking in the apts......did we all actually smoke in our homes and not think twice about it?

So, a few hours into this, I finally ask hubby if it was ok that I was vaping in the apt; do you think there will be any residual odor, etc. that could make roommate uncomfortable. Mind you, hubby has a nose like you wouldn't believe; I sometimes think he's part blood hound.
He said that the only times he's ever smelled anything is when I happen to exhale his way, and he can smell the 'cotton candy' (RY4), but it's only for a moment and has never lingered very long, so he has no problem with my vaping in the apt.
This was confirmed when left the apt for periods of time, and when we returned, I coudn't smell anything but the new carpet smell, that was there even when we opened the door for the first time. WOW! I just realized the glues from the carpet layers is stronger than anything we could possibly vape out!

OH! OMG! I can't believe I forgot about this part!! LOL
One time, we went down stairs during the PM "rush hour" - we got off the elevator when a bunch of people were going up. My sense of smell is still getting stronger and stronger and I detected a smell. It was very slight, but I could smell it.....just as we passed those waiting to board the elevator, I stopped, turned around and said "How cool! Someone's using RY4!"....who ever it was must have been on the elevator already 'cause there weren't many people left on the floor & no one looked my way. Someone was vaping while waiting for the elevator!!! LOL I was going to say "someone's using an e-cig!", but figured that wouldn't have been as good as saying RY4, which would only be known by the one using it.
Code words....boy; we really do have our own under ground going on here! LOL

Anyway; I know that some people that aren't already vaping may see this post and I thought I'd share the fact that you can vape in a new apt and it won't be noticable! LOL
