Once you choose the wattage setting on the kick it detects the resistance and adjust the volts and amps automatically to achieve that wattage setting.

Yes. Variable wattage.
I thought the original kick by evolv was not variable wattage but variable voltage. But I just looked and I was wrong about that.

Is the $19.99 they are selling them on their site now the cheapest around for the original?

Super T had them for $19.99 for a short time but they sold their stock pretty quick. As much as I love my kicks v1 I never even thought to look at Evolv site for them until a ECF member told me the other day. I ordered two this morning and may go back for a couple more.
As far as I know this is the lowest price, even when sites were clearing them out upon the kick2 debut I cannot recall seeing them less than $25 other than Super T.

Right they all work that way set the watts and that's it even the clones. I think the two pin Kick 2 is better because it almost assures it will make positive contact with the tube. I have had that problem with the clones and some mods.

Just got my Kick 2 and for the record I chain vaped on an EFest 18350 at 15 watts for nearly 3 hours straight and by the time it started shutting down the battery metered at 3.5volts on a multi meter. More than safe enough if you ask me. I got an extra hour of use out of it compared to running my 1.5ohm coil unkicked and feeling powerless at around 3.5v loaded.

Note that my TankOMeter did not work with the kick. It wouldnt even fire for some reason and I double checked that it was making proper contact.

Question guys does a kick 2 need air holes / air flow on the top portion of the cap? My question is does your kick 2 chip get hot? When I chain vape and set my kick 2 to 15 watts I feel like the chip itself is getting hot not the battery and i'm using AW IMR batteries and i've noticed this on my nemesis mod.
