I posted several comments under this video in your youtube channel. Basically, there's lots of difference in trying to boost up a 3.7V battery to higher voltages versus two
batteries in series, 7.4-8.4V and then varying it down to what you want. In addition to the youtube comments I posted, you're encountering voltage droop with the 1.7ohm carto at 4.2V. But when you bump it up to 4.5V, you exceeded the 2.5A max and the Lavatube bumped you back down to 3.7V or lower.
