The Lemo RTA: A Build With Pics

Got it. Did some searching online and most places are out of stock or only have the SS one. I did find one online site - Lemo by Eleaf - RBA - Rebuildable - which is actually offering it for $29.95. Anyone order from this site, and are they a reputable source?

Go for it cjpeltz. I ordered a stainless and a black from them on the 16th late at night. They shipped on the 18th and I got them today. Washing the tanks now and looking forward to putting a nickel build in them once my wire and rDNA 40 gets here tomorrow. Their shipping is super fast. I also got something from the ebay store and I had it two days later. Shipping is faster from their ebay store, but with that being said 4 days total for shipping from Washington state to NC is really good. I would definitely recommend VapeNW. Good prices and good shipping.

I'm loving my Lemo, but I've noticed that the flavor is a bit muted compared to my nautilus BVC. It makes up for it by giving me a denser, and generally more pleasing vape. What are the recommendations for increasing flavor? Or should I just right it off as growing pains (first time builder). I used 28g Kanthal, 1.2Ohms, 12watts....non-spaced coil.

You might want to try closing the air flow a tad. Less air flow allows for better flavor, while more air flow will increase vapor.

Here are a couple of pics of my build. pardon the poor quality, I haven't yet figured out how to take a macro shot with my phone.

And after a dry burn:

It looks kinda small to me...like there's not enough surface area touching the wick. I tried doing more wraps at first (10) but that was a travesty. Maybe I just need more practice.

Also waiting on mine, planning on throwing some nickel coils at it on my XPV DNA 40. Just read a few posts over on the DNA40 thread - it seems TP can be done with a kanthal/nickel twisted wire build. I plan on twisting up some 30 gauge nickel with 30 gauge kanthal and giving it a shot. My guess is that the kanthal doesn't do much electrically, but will provide some additional stability to those soft nickel builds.

BOOM!

I'm going to say toooo much cotton man. It also looks like the wicks are sitting in the juice channels.... I find it wicks better when you make sure you don't let the wicks sit on top of the juice channels.

It really looks like there is too much cotton in the coil as well. I would try a bit smaller amount.

Follow this video. This is how I build it, except I don't angle my coil

See, now that's news to me. Being a n00b, I thought it was the exact opposite!

Ohm's Law :)

If you had it on a mech with a fresh battery:

4.2 x 4.2 ÷ 1.4 = 12.6W

4.2 x 4.2 ÷ 1.2 = 14.7W. Your coil needs more power than my coil ;). Yes, the lower the resistance, the higher the power since you are dividing by a smaller number. Roxy's math lesson of the day.

It does look like that in the pic, but I haven't had any wicking issues, as far as I can tell. I will try a bit less next time.

What I did was remove both surface layers of the KGD, then after I placed the bottom chimney on the base, I cut the cotton just about level with the top of the base. I think I may try another tonight with less cotton.

So I was suppose to get my lemo in today from vapordna since they used 2 day priority shipping. USPS decides to take my package from LA, CA all the way to North Carolina when its destination is Texas. :(

I ended up just getting my orchid today... Really wanted to try lemo first.

amount of cotton in your coil can directly affect vapor production.

Hmm, I guess I'm the only one that has better luck with more cotton through the coil?

I've run mine with minimal Japanese cotton, excessive cotton, and making cloud pillows to surround the coil, no matter how I've wicked the lemo seem always work flawlessly. Evev a 28ga kanthal/28ga Ni200 twist 8 wrap 3mm 0.23ohm on the DNA40.

I finally rebuilt it for my mech. Clocks in at .51 ohms. It does look a little funny but it's vaping great. I'll try to remember to take a few pics next time I rewick. I will say it was a pain in the ... to get the wires in the holes this time. I did use some massive wire (22g) so that may be why. I have some 25 gauge but it was going to be too few wraps by my calculations since I was shooting for about .5 ohms. So I used 7 wraps (I think - maybe 8) around a 7/64 bit. Put some Japanese cotton in pretty tight and wicking seems to be great believe it or not. I decided to try flipping the cotton up this time and screwing down the chimney, clipped just above the chimney and tucked it down. And I'm pretty sure this is a 70/30 VG/PG juice. Should be at around 25-30 watts just like I ran it on my IPV2 when I had it.
