Feeding Tarpon at Robbie's - Robbie's of Islamorada

This is a great video, the gal taking it accidentally says the "s" word used for poop, so if that's offensive, I can remove it, or just mute it...sound isn't necessary.

...I already know DH will have to MAKE me leave.

I need a tiny house at the top of a boat dock, and I'd be happy as a clam. ;)

    Lunchtime flyby...

Lori, that sounds like fun...I'd do it too.

Apparently the power went out again after I left for work...the dang clocks were blinking again when I got here for lunch...and one of my clients who lives a couple of miles away said she was without power this morning too...don't know what the heck caused it because there wasn't even any rain out there.

I know you'll have a great time on vacation. I keep telling myself I'm going to take one. This year is it, but then next year comes and still no vacation.

We've talked about going to the FL Keys for YEARS...years.
We've not ever taken what I'd call a big vacation...until this one.
The other cruise we'd gone on 11 years ago, was a prize, so our only expenses were what we wanted to spend.
Other trips have just been a couple days here or there.

I see you all aren't an every year vacation taker. I guess Saturday was a mini vacation going to the museum. DW really wants to go to the beach. Guess I'll have to break down and spend a weekend at the beach. We have beaches just 3 hours from us, but I haven't been there in all the years here in Texas, so maybe it's time. I used to go all the time when I lived in California. I never went to the keys in all my years living in Florida neither. Daytona, yes, but that's about it. Guess a beach trip will be in the cards. Might get good rates now as it's hurricane season[emoji1]

Yep, you better get out there and do some of that kind of stuff. :)
DH has an annual trade show that he attends/works that's work related. We always plan about 3 days of vacation around that...before or after the trade show. His airfare is covered by work, he has to go either way.
If there's a difference in price because of the extra days, we would pay it, but there hasn't ever been.
But, I haven't always been able to go. We've done a short trip to San Diego, and part of that one, we stayed two nights on Catalina Island. It fell the weekend of Super Bowl, a couple years ago, so it was DEFINITELY off season, our room rate was something like $120 a night...way cheaper than mainland Ca.
We did a short trip to Las Vegas, again, tacked it on the trade show time frame. If you don't gamble, Vegas isn't all that expensive...unless you go to fancy restaurants, or a bunch of shows.
But like you said, there are things in the areas that we all live in that we could do and don't.

We went to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery a couple years ago, and I've lived in the area (50 to 75 miles from St. Louis) my whole life...just went a couple years ago.

So yeah, I get it. ;)
