Oh yum! Some of all please. :D

OBG, those are some nice looking maters!

Well the day didn't get any worse than the power outages...at least work wasn't bad, especially considering I was out last week...but my coworker did a good job of checking things and keeping me updated (I did have to make a few calls from vacation last week for the job because well, some of our clients are just idiots and my poor coworker had no idea how to handle them.)

Even went to Wally World after work and it wasn't bad either...got in and out pretty quick...now sitting back with my adult beverage waiting on my son to get back with dinner.:p

    One of each Dale,Please :D

Yay!! So glad your day was decent. Awesome that you didn't have a .... load of stuff to do on your first day back. :)

Thanks,I found out the big ones do better if I don't water them every night if the big ones get too much water they grow so fast they split open :)

My parents have quite a few but they are all still green. I've been craving homegrown tomatoes lately.

If you can't grow your own I'll bet they are for sale all over about now around your place :2c:
Yes, we are starting to get them in. I have them from two different farm markets. Very flavorful, perfect for sandwiches and burger toppings. The produce place we usually shop at still has hothouse and imports from Canada (least that's what the sticker says)

I had a large buck in my yard last night from the looks of the poop he left :)
    Lol's.

We get a lot of does with their fawns in our yard but the bucks hide :?:
They send the does out first to make sure it's safe. :)

There was a teenage girl selling them off the back of a pick up truck here where I live, up at the 4 way...you know you're in a small town if you refer to the main crossroad as "the 4 way".
    12 for $2.00.

Soulard had them 12 for $2.00 over the weekend. A salesman was just telling about the haul he and his wife got over the weekend.

Yup ! when I'm hunting I always scan the treeline when I see does in a field, collected more than a few bones that way ;)

    Did you get some ??
No. DH isn't a big corn eater, and I'd end up being the only one to eat it.

That salesman who I work with froze some they'd only cleaned. He said they wrapped each one in saran wrap, then bagged them in zip locks. He said they were fine.
I have a hard time believing it, but that's how they did it one year.
I'd try a couple before I'd do many that way though.:2c:
They had already put up a bunch of corn, and someone brought them a WHOLE bunch more...he said they didn't want to waste it, but that they were already putting up corn in their sleep.

I blanch mine and freeze them 5 or 6 to a gallon zip lock,to cook them I just get one out give a quick rinse wrap it up good in saran wrap then nuke it for about 8 min, they sure are good all smothered in butter and lightly salted when it's snowing out :D
