    Good morning KC

Sorry I missed ya, Dale. Soccer practice and then it was my turn with the vacation calendar. Always so stressful

Definitely stoked for the 57. It’s still mid 50s but currently raining :nah:

    Sweet dreams
Sorry you had such a long rough day Sara :(

    Good morning all!!

Gosh, I haven't been here since Friday...I swear these days just clip by!! I have no idea where the weekend went either!!

We had beautiful weather over the weekend, mid 60's, temps dropped yesterday, but still more than tolerable. :nun:
I know winter isn't over but I'll take it!

Not a lot to report from here really.

I suppose that Rita may be nearing the end, not eminent, I don't think, but the last few weeks I had trouble getting her to eat.
Baby food toppers on her normal food have SAVED the day!!
Chicken or turkey, green beans, sweet potatoe, and banana.

The last couple of days, she hasn't wanted to drink water, and again, baby food to the rescue.
She loves turkey "water", or banana "water" :nun:
She doesn't have any of the other symptoms of anything serious when I googled "old dog doesn't want to drink water", or, any symptoms of anything else that jumps out,
    so for that I'm thankful.
Could be something, could just be she's old, and with the increase of the baby foods, she may be getting enough liquid that she's not thirsty.

We go next week for her monthly vet visit, she gets a pain shot for arthritis, and a general wellness check.
Our vet fees are so reasonable that it's definitely doable.
He's an old school vet and doesn't run expensive tests for the least little thing.
I'd already discussed the picky eating, so I'll talk to him about this as well.
I think I mentioned she is only wanting to sleep on the sofa at night,
Last night was better, we stayed in bed all night.
Took a bit of extra cuddling, and since DH is out of town, I left the nightstand lamp on.
Since I'm off today, I knew I could sleep in, (and did til 7  ) so I didn't give in and go to the sofa with her.
I have a couple more nights before DH comes home, so going to try to break the habit of going to the sofa. ;)
Hard when I have to work the next morning, so wish me luck.

Wow, sorry for the volume!

    Have a good day all!!

Hiya Lori  awww, hope it’s nothing serious with Rita. You could be right about the baby food and not needing as much water.

When we first got Lucy, she was on kibble and drank A LOT! After switching her to raw, she doesn’t drink nearly as much. I was worried at first but the vet said totally normal.

Hope you have a great day off. :)

    Good evening Lurkers :)

Sorry to hear that Rita is having difficulty Lori, maybe her teeth are bothering her again? The bed may be aggravating her arthritis? Hopefully her pain shot will help :)

You feed Lucy raw meat Sara ? :?:
    Good evening Dale

Believe it or not, yep. DH did a ton of research on it. She gets everything but chicken (allergy) and all the normal no no’s for dogs. He orders it online from mypetcarnivore and there is a local co-op he gets a bunch of stuff from. She also eats fruits and vegetables. Her diet MUST consist of a certain % of muscle meat, organ, raw edible bones and there’s some other stuff in there too. We also do freeze dried raw.

I don’t mind giving her the stuff that looks like ground up meat. He gets the weird stuff duty (tripe, whole fish, duck feet, necks) *gag*

Good morning Dale and KC

:lol::lol: There are pros and cons. The cons being no puppy kisses. The pros and this one is the best......a lot less you know what to pick up. :w00t: there isn’t as much to eliminate (no fillers and junk) and her entire coat is super soft. When we first got her, her head was silky soft and the rest of her was kinda wiry. But now it’s silky soft all the way down to the nub of a tail.

Hope you all have a good day :)

    That’s really interesting :?:

    Hope those storms aren’t severe!
Not looking like it although it was forecasted  Nothing happening until at least 11 o’clock.
