Use coarse sandpaper and put it in your drill. No need for all the scraping and washing. It comes right off. I usually shine it up with steel wool afterword but the whole process is only a minute or so. I used to scrape them off and then use goof off to get the glue off but the drill was easier and I have to slot it with the Dremmel so I was in the shop anyway.I figured out a way to get the glue off relatively easy. I ran the carto under hot water and rubbed off as much of the glue as possible. After that I took a sharp knife and scraped more off until it wasn't sticky anymore. Then I used fine grit sandpaper to clean it completely. Sounds like a bit of work but it's not too bad. My supplier was sold out on SS so I had to go the sticker'd route. Sandpaper alone didn't work out like I'd thought it would. I ended up with a sand coated carto.
