I find the CE 2 XL's perfect right out of the box and me and a couple of friends agree as we have bought 200 of them from China. We find that the R4's are better than the R5's by the way.

Maybe just the luck of the draw as the R3's were atrocious things even in homemade syringe tanks.

Well I never had any luck with them so I quit trying and buying them. Same as another vendor that GOT my money enough times for products I don't like. I won't buy from them either.

I just got lucky because I was trolling the forums when Mike decided to post them for sale. Being that Mike is a fellow CE2 fan I had to jump on the opportunity to test these out. I will definitely be buying a production model so I can be all matchy and what not. lol I still need to get some steel XL CE2's though as all I have are XL clearo's and reg steel CE2's. I'm excited to try these out though.

Don't really need a shorty, it's fair to say that people need to go to an XL (diminishing returns). It would likely work fine with the 808 Jumbos that I've purchased before (standard diameter, just long). Just note that it is designed for cartos XXmm or greater total length, standard diameter.

cool ... thanks for the specs.... into the drawer i go
I talked to BOge last night about cartos and they are 45mm long( 5mm is the 510 conn. ) the Ce2 is 55mm long my tank is 43mm long , I just changed it to be 38 mm long so it will fit the ce2 XL and the Boge cartos no problem .

No, it's not "fair to say" that people need to go to an XL. Many of us prefer a shorter tank. That being said, it's a simple matter of buying a shorter tube, from Notcigs if they carry one, elsewhere if they don't. I presume these tubes are 3/4" OD - 5/8" ID??

The nice thing about the shorter length is that it'll work with ANY carto. As was stated, though, getting ahold of a different size tube is easy. I'm sure Mike's using the standard ID/OD polycarbonate tubing, and I've got a bunch of it sitting around from the experiments that spawned this angel. Who woulda guessed something so pretty could've come from things so ugly?

5cs, what do you get for 510 carto length? My 808 stuff measures 35, but that is full top to bottom (several mm of that is connector body) I've got boge 510 at home.

The 808 has the connector threads inside the tube. The 510 is the same length without the threads if you hold them side by side I believe. From looking online it appears the 510 and 808 use the same tube.

But with a longer tube you could hold more juice so I believe two versions should be used. IMHO
