Hello everyone!

I'm planning on getting a budget mod and decided to go with Lavatube. I manage to find some good deals on lavatube such as greenhouseone is currently selling them as a kit at $60+ with 1 year warranty just like volcanoecigs but cheaper.

I then saw Lavatube MINI which honestly isn't that mini but nevertheless less clunky with the original one. I tried looking around for Lavatube MINI reviews but can't really find any except for few youtube videos. Can anyone share their experiences and opinion on Lavatube VS Lavatube Mini?

Also anyone know if Lavatube MINI comes with other colors? I remember seeing one which is covered with carbon fiber pattern which looks freakin amazing, or maybe silver ones?

Found another deal but for MINI at https://www.apolloecigs.com/product_p/atube.htm

The mini uses the same regulator with the same specs. Other than it being shorter and using a smaller battery which means less run time between charges it should be the same.

The carbon fiber one you saw was a custom job done by the user. Silver and maybe other colors we most likely will see shortly if they follow the same production of the LT, black lack came out first followed by other colors.

So...Do we pull the trigger on this now or wait to see if Co-Op comes up with something... at this price this is pretty tempting. New to VV, and I am assuming that the mini and the regular use different batteries, am I correct on this?

The regular version uses 18650 and the mini uses 18350 batteries.

I'm mainly concern on what is being sacrificed in terms of functions and performance. If I'm not mistaken, Lavatube have its issues with voltage drops particularly when the battery is half drained.. if that's the case then the MINI will be a hassle with its 18350 battery.

A good choice will probably be AW IMR 18350 as my friend suggested but that's only 1400mah which probably won't last a day for certain people

Btw we put in 2 18350 battery in the mini lavatube right?

Gotcha. I will look into batteries more. I have heard of people having issues with the LT with battery sizes (the nipple on top being too long overall). Do LT's require no nipple on the batt then?

Can speak for what Vendors are selling, I got a Mini-Lavatube Body Only.

But I can say this:

TrustFire Protected Li-on 18350 1,200mAh Batteries are 37mm long which means that the End Cap does Not screw on all the way. Works fine but I'm alittle worried about Stripping the Threads on the Tube.

AW IMR 18350 700mAh Batteries are 35mm long and fit Perfectly.

So the Long and Short of it (Pun Intended) is if the Battery you use is Longer than 35mm, the End Cap isn't going to screw in all the way.

Rick at Apollo says he has extensions coming with his next order along with red, silver and black. He says the kits will only be on sale for the 59.00 for a couple of weeks. Apollo VTube
They do offer 30 day money back guarantee and one year warranty.
