I don't know who that is directed towards because I hope it isn't me. As I mentioned before, I never said I haven't used a Darwin, just that I do not CURRENTLY own one. I'm not getting drawn in to this tit for tat BS. As I've stated, I KNOW what I'm talking about.
Interesting that you of all the posters on here responded that way. On whether you have tried a Darwin or not, keeping that information an "unknown" is really "weak". Either you have first hand knowledge based on experience with the device or you are just blowing "hot air". Based on your past comments, we all know the answer to whether you have used a Darwin or not. You can continue to "play" the "I'm not telling" game if you think that adds something to your opinion.
I enjoyed this thread... is there any chance we can keep it alive by self-moderating instead of escalating the quips until a Mod comes in and moderates it for us? That would be kinda cool... no?
You don't always need to try a unit to know if you don't like it. For me it getting pass the looks is the first step. That what make a person say wow it looks cool or man I like that. TEST 1 Fail. Look like crap to me. The Provari pass the o that looks cool test. Got to remember this stuff not cheap not all of us can buy alot mods.
Second Test what can it do. There is one thing that it can do that no other device does and that is it auto adjust watts. Ok that neat but it nothing that i can not do manual with a provari. Beside I like juices at different volts anyways. So most likely I'll be changing them and how much can ohm change on atty in a day.. Really???? I have 510 atty I have been using on 5v tekk mod and it still hit same after 3 days so I put little weight to watt having to be adjust every second. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.
3 test: what atty can I use with Darwin. Darwin imo fail this test as well. Sure you can put tank mod on . You Will not be able to turn it off without having to remove the tank mod.My understanding it has to be turn all the way down to be turn off and It will look stupid just having tank mod on "like map tank". Provari looks cool with couple tank mods and I can turn it off with few clicks. No hassle trying to take a tank mod off to turn it down or limited. Provari can use any atty.
4 batterys I can change my battery any time with provari but darwin you can not. But you can use the Darwin as pt and the provari you can not.
For me I don't need pt.
But to say you have to try one to have a opinion will IMO that bull..... People depend on post like this to make a decision.
This is what i read that help me make mi mind up. But to me I want to use tank mods and I need something that look cool and with all the bell and whistle.

Mine shuts off before it gets fully down position. I'll position it at the cutoff and take a pic.
In the meantime, this works really really well with the Darwin.
Could you elaborate why it's difficult and also what attys the provari can use that the darwin can't?
Everything else in your post I agree with so I left it out. Once again I will repeat all PVs have their place (EXCEPT for the vapezilla
). It depends on many factors: price point, your aesthetic view, your view on function, your ability to compromise, etc. All these create the "consumer value" of the product and they are all different. I feel you pointed out that your thoughts were yours alone, so please understand I just used your post because it was the most recent one and not because I was attacking you

I don't disagree with this point at all. Having an opinion that a particular device is something one doesn't want based on features, looks, etc is fine. What I stated was "bashing the device's performance" when you have never used one is the problem.

Provari with map tank looks sexy
Map tank is 1/2 or 1" around? The Darwin has to be turn all the way down to be turn off won't the width of the tank or any tank that has some width stop that from happening? If so won't you have to take it off so you can close the Darwin so it will not turn on in your pocket? It also looks like it be easy to break? idk is it? Not being able to turn it down don't that make the mod really long?
