i just got a provari mini and was just wondering how necessary a backup device would be for going out (got plenty of at home backups). i usually take 2 twists to work with me but would love it if i could just take my provari.
In the year and a half that I've owned my Provari, it hasn't failed me yet. But there's a first for everything and I would hate to be caught without a functioning PV for more than a few hours.
I always carry a spare ProVari with me (I carry two of them, for clarity), but I've only needed it once, and that was pretty much my fault. I cleaned the inside battery post seconds before walking out the door to go to work, and found on my way to work that my ProVari wasn't working - I'd gotten it too wet.
I now have three, and one of these days I'm going to ship the first two off for a V2 upgrade. One of these days....

dont really think youll need a backup for the provari, never had a single problem with any of mine, but personally i usually take two with me anyways so i can swap up flavors often,i cant use the same juice for long without it loosing flavor for me.
I keep a 900mah Ego passthru and a cheap 5 dollar Walgreens car to usb adapter in my glove compartment just in case...also have a spare bottle of juice and a couple of cartos.
cause i got it friday and i work monday-thursday nights, i'll definitely be taking it. thinking i can slip a cheap 510 stick battery beside my wallet. (i have to have something in all my pockets but i'm out of pockets!)
I got caught in a thunderstorm once and the provari got drenched. I would have been ok had I just dried it out instead of trying to get a hit. I had no need of a backup for a whole year before that happened.
I used to worry about that too, especially since my job entails driving 250 miles out of town and then back everyday. But now all the truck stops carry NJoys and Blus, and even some other brands, so if something happens I'll just pull over and buy one!
i've been using an old 510 as a backup (haven't needed it yet), not gonna support cigarette companies anymore. got a new phiniac and the leather baggie they sent holds my provari and legacy pretty nicely and i'll just put the legacy in a little plastic baggy so the provari doesn't tear it up lol
