yay, first reply! Now saying that......

Although the carts will fit diameter wise, the depth when inserted is different. So the answer is no then. The new 901 cart also has a larger capacity for liquid than the original.

If you were asking if the new 901 and 510 carts are interchangeable the answer is the same. Diameter wise they fit, but the depth is different.

plz quit saying that this is the new 901, they are not. they are the J118.

i dont want to be mean or anything but if u are gonna recommend a product for others to use plz recommend the correct product. thx.

It's simply a matter of semantics. Yes, the model number of the VX2 is the J118 as I myself posted. Shawn refers to it on his site as the newest edition to the 901 'style' of vaporizers. So Shawn isn't technically calling it the new 901, but yes, other people are. Why? Well, I guess it's because they look pretty much exactly the same if you see them sitting side by side. The J118 is basically a redesign of the 901 so that's why many people are calling it the new 901.

So technically I guess we shouldn't be referring to it as the new 901 and I can understand the confusion.

As to Adam's question about whether the carts are refillable, yes they are, and you can buy empty carts from Shawn at LITECIG USA. I checked out Coolsmokeshop's website and they really shouldn't be saying that they are not refillable. The prefilled carts that come with the kit have a tin foil seal over the cart which is punctured by the atomizer when you insert the cart. But once it dries up there is nothing stopping you from putting juice into it!

I hope this clears up some of the confusion!

OK, I just recieved my J118 and am so far very impressed. Massive vapor production, and a decent throat hit, but like the reviewer said I will wait about a week before I give the throat hit the final verdict. It does look a lot like a 901, and mine is labeled with J118 (silver model). Overall, I am very impressed so far as it IS much better then the old 901. But that is to be expected I guess since it is not a 901 and a new model improved on the old design of the 901

RSL are the batteries compatible with the 510 atomizers as well?....I would assume not but it is worth asking.

Also can anyone give a comparison between these and the 510? I like the 510 a lot but would love a comparable ecig with a good automatic battery. I love mic switch batteries that are done right like the 401 batteries i have. They last forever eventhough I only drip with the 401. The bestecig mic switch batteries are junk...way too sensative and one drop of liquid in there fries the battery.

I don't have both my 510 and J118 with me right now so I can't answer the batteries question.

I wrote a review on the VX2 (Official model number-J118) here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/litecig/17598-vx2-pcc-case-2.html

To give you a quick answer now. The VX2 has a great auto battery, about as good as they get in my experience. Also my favorite e-cig is my manual battery 510, but I was very impressed with the VX2. It really does go head to head with the 510 and I rotate between the two during the course of a day.

FIGUREHEAD is putting up a video review soon, I believe tonight. Judging from his posts I've read, so far he is totally in love with the VX2. :)
