Quoted from DiscountVapers

Compatibilities:
The Original T3 and MT3 bottom coil replacements with the permanent attached coil are compatible with the new T3s/MT3s Bases and coils you can use a new style or original style base/coil on either.
The MT3s and the T3s use the same replaceable Bottom coil.
You can use the T3s/MT3s coil on eVods and ProTank but you cannot use the eVod or ProTank coils on the MT3s or T3s

This from Sun-Vapers;
"Important! 5/24/2013
Because the T3S heads will not be any good to to T3 owners without the base I had to rethink my product strategy. 1 Base will come with every 5 pack of heads. This ensures that all T3 owners can be able to use the new heads. Since the T3S clearomizer has not landed in the USA. This means ALL OF YOU. LOL!!!!!"
Kanger T3S base will allow you to use the T3S heads in the Kanger T3

UPDATE: This was a bit clearer (from Discount Vapers)
"If you wish to upgrade your original T3 or MT3 to this new coil system you will need a T3s or MT3s base."

So I just have to buy all new T3s's in order to use my not-so-old T3's.
I used to like Kanger.

The bolded part is what I don't get. Why would the "s" coils work in the EVOD/protank but not vice versa?

Part of the Evod head is larger in diameter than the the T3s head. Because its a little larger, it won't fit all the way inside the T3s tank, but the smaller T3s head will fit inside the Evod and Protank.

Thanks so much. I just stocked up on EVOD coils to use in my EVODs and protank, and when I switch over to the "s" series, I guess I will need to keep the coils separate. It looks like the "s" coils have a longer post, so it should be fairly easy to do.

Afterwards, I will just get "s" coils, and use them for everything protank, EVOD, and "s".

That should work, right?

I guess that makes more sense than the info I got at Sun-Vapers.

I don't have a Protank, but I'm using a T3s coil and base on an Evod tank right now, and it works good. There is a slight gap between the base and the tank. I hope Kanger makes all of the tanks and coils compatible.

Thanks again!!! I think the arrows are pointing to the wrong spot, but I can clearly see the "flange" part being narrower on the "s" coils. Look just below the wicks and compare the diameter.

If I use EVOD coils for the EVODs and protanks, and reserve these coils for the "s", they chould be easy to differentiate by the flange diameter.

Not exactly; you need the base section that the heads screw into. If you have a T3, the base and coil head are a single unit, so to use the T3S heads you need a new base for the T3 to upgrade, essentially, to a T3S, not a whole new clearo.

And yes, the arrows are pointing to the wrong spot, the flange is wider on eVod/Protank heads. If you want one coil for all your kanger needs, looks like the T3S is it.

Yes. What he said. If you buy the heads from Sun-Vapers, they come (temporarily) with a base and they fit into your t3 body. I was trying to get them from Discount vapers but they don't have the base yet. It seems like sun-vapers isn't selling the bases individually yet but reserving them for those of us switching over to the new heads. Which is nice and makes a lot of sense.

I haven't checked today but sun-vapers was showing sold out. Then his site closed for revisions and I got a message it was still closed. As far as I know, sun-vapers was the only place selling them seperatley.

It seems the only way to get a base unit is to buy a complete new T3S. It doesn't appear they are making bases available for sale.

Somebody in the eVic section helped me solve this problem.

Pull the center pin on the coil head down just a TINY bit. I did it with the head screwed into the base so I could roughly gauge just how
far down it was. If you pull too hard you'll just yank that pin out, which isn't a big deal. It'll pop right back in.

But that solved the problem for me on the eVic. Been using it a few days now this way, no more problems and it's vaping great.
I hope that helps! :vapor:

Another solution from the Sun Vapers guy was to get a tiny washer and put it inside the tube. My T3 are working great!

The eVod head is larger? Could you remove the tube and top wicks and get us a picture of both? I find the older T3 to vape better than eVods...

picked up 2 of the original MT3 and the base+coil pack from sun-vapers a few days back, had it 2 days now, and it's been great. Have 3 MT3Ss from DV on the way, I enjoy them so much.

Next time I switch juice in the Protank, I'll try a T3S head in it to compare, though I have sooo many eVod heads for it already, haha!

These may top the T2 for my non-Protank needs, surprisingly warm vape for bottom coil.

Crap. I'm going to be loaded with T3's now. Ordered old base units, new T3S units and the 5 pack with base unit. I was hoping to wind down all the polycarbonate tanks and switch to BPA free tanks. I guess that means I'm in for protanks too and probably the mini when it gets here. So much for the vaping "budget". LOL!

Anyone know of a protank co-op?
