Dude, that is freaky... I just did the same exact thing the other day - They could be twins! The only difference is, I couldn't get mine to wrap worth a crap. It's 3x22K cores, 2x36K alien Clapton, 0.4x0.1K ribbon for the stitch. I'm pretty sure it was the cores that screwed it up. I'll have to try it with 2 cores next time.
Thankyou Retro mate and likewise with the stitches youve been ripping .. ..dam! they are good! everyones are good! i cant seem to get that one nailed lol i have one little go at it and if it dont turn for me i get my braiding fingers out, i have very little patience lately and can normally turn my hand to most things so hence the braids
Although i think i may already know why i cant do the stitched aliens, are you all using swivels for the main wires?
I'm so excited for this week. First I got a couple clones that I just couldn't help myself with. I got the rig v2 and the castigador but what I'm most excited for is the sub ohm innovations legendary copper subzero mech with the shorty switch, a set of silver contacts and the subzero rda. I paid 145 for everything!!! I couldn't resist myself even though I would have preferred the black cerakote finish. It should be in at the end of the week I hope. Does anyone else have this?

Thanks man and yes I use swivels and I can only do 2 core for some reason. I pulled off 1 3 X 26g / 2 x36g interlock but it was hideous. It just seems to work better with 2 core and especially with the stitch like Tom said they do seem to wrap themselves. The stitch kind of leads it all in the right direction. 1 time out of curiosity I was 10 wraps in and put the drill in a pretty fast mode, wrapped another 6 inches and it actually came out perfect.

Speaking of ribbon stitched aliens, you can use a .3x.1mm ribbon with a 26g core since 26g has a diameter of .405mm. I'd go so far to say you could try out .4x.1mm but that'd be cutting it close. I'd go with a 24g decored for a .4 ribbon.

These coil builds are amazing, it might take me some time, but I'm gonna learn how to do some of these builds, even if it kills me... In case there's anyone who doesn't know, I'm Coil Art's biggest fan !! And I can't wait to get started on my own coil art & since I finally got my vise, today... So now the only question is... what kind of coil am I gonna make first ?? My order with Lightning Vapes will be here soon too, along with my magnifying, swing arm, desk lamp & then I'll be set. Its hard making stuff, when u can't see...(lol) I've never been so excited to begin another level of vaping. And since I'm working on my 7th year of being a Vaporhead /Flavor Chaser I find these new exotic coil builds to be totally exciting & innovating.
I love the idea of using swivels & the usual tools of the trade, of course and now that I've gotten my vise, all I need now, is to be able to see....(lol) But of course I'm gonna try some stuff with my vise anyways, my lamp & N80 should be here soon. Ahh well, let me go play with my new toy. I think I'm gonna try a braided coil first, 3 strand & then maybe a 4. A matter of fact... I have a few videos to watch, again

This thread was started for the purpose of posting up your own personal builds. Not taking build pics from other builders. I stated this in the first post.
There was a whole fiasco with some other member posting up a bunch of well known pictures from Instagram and taking credit for the editing in the pictures. I personally know a few of those builders and asked them if they did the edits to said pictures and it turns out the member who posted the builds lied about everything.
All I ask is that if you do happen to post someone else's build, please name them and give them the credit for their work. Please don't be like the board member (who's name I will not bring up) and try to take credit for something somebody else did, though I know it wasn't your intention.
