Sorry for the double post but I decided to put my latest alien I did. I think they look a lot more consistent and I get them done crazy fast now which is nice. This is a 26ka1 core 36n80 wrap on 2.5id and it ohms out around .14 or so. This would look a little nicer if it wasn't on my roughneck v2 with its lovely 3 posts lol. This is still my favorite build out of all of the variations of aliens I've done. Next up will be some framed staple aliens and some hybrid coils of some sort. All these petri v2 pics are really pushing me over the edge to buy it when it's back in stock.

I hear you Rock. I've been MIA as well. Life is got me pre occupied. Got to deal with that before I jump back into the builds.

To all. Keep them coming. Coils are looking great. Be back soon.

O yea. That Petri is looking boss right now. On the RDA (Petri) thread WeVapeHere has it in stock.

I liked it, so I had to try it.
Hammered polished fused Clapton and framed alien staple using square wire for the alien binding wrap

that's not polished square wire is it? You're square wrap alien looks great too.
@Rockwell222 the square wire is great to work with. It's a little stiff & tricky at first, but the round equivalent to it is 32g around a .2xx diameter. The .2x.2 square is definitely harder to work with, but it's so versatile when you get it down.
@G-weezy i just picked up an aspire Clieto? Spell check that. I just call it the **** tank. It's pretty sweet for when I'm lazy as hell and don't wanna build anything and it's great for driving. They're also releasing an RTA for it, which will pretty much make it boss.

I had some questions for whoever could help. I bought a new camera tonight for a steal and I'm pretty new to this type of photography. It's a Cannon SX60 HS with 65x optical zoom. I know this isn't the perfect camera for macro shots but as long as they come out a little better then my phone I'll be happy. I also hike a lot and the benefits with the zooming ability will be great with a tripod. Does anyone know the best way to setup my camera for macro shots? It's obviously has the macro setting which helps and making my ghetto white box really helped clear up the photos but I know I could make the pictures better with some tinkering. As of now I'm using plain ole auto with the macro option and that's about it. I played around with I believe it was the aperture and the photo came out crisper but I could have been in a different setting. I can't believe the options on this thing. Any help would be awesome and don't be afraid to tell me if I made a dumb move because I'll return it while I have the time. Ohhh and it has wifi which is kinda nice. Lol

hey build brothers, finally finished this huge remodel and can get back to having some fun. Only have 2 builds to show, but I have some concepts i'm hoping come to fruition and have more time in general to bend some wire. Ill post a link to the house once the photographer is done shooting it.

damn Ive missed y'all and missed seeing what everyone is building etc.. I'm really glad I have some time to do some extracurricular activities. Hour commute in both directions, 10-12 hr. days...ugh

My first PetriV2 build from 2 weeks ago, simple and plain. 26g/40 fused clapton paralleled with 26g

This next one is a concept created by the one and only @Tom Forde
4 x 0.4mm ribbon / 2 x 26g frame / 40g fuse / 34g alien wrap.

Man, that concept Tom forde came up with looks awesome. I can't wait till I get my new shipment of wire to try it out.
Anyway I'm down to only 40g, I tried to alien with it. Holy cow is it tough trying to get in the groove. It stretches so easy, I'll get it with some practice. Here's my first try ..... It doesn't help that it's done over 24g but like I said I'm waiting on my wire. I'm always open to tips/suggestions.

Do your best to stretch it to the exact width you need and go with the flow, as in let the wire do all the work. I hold it 6-8" away from the core wire and just let it slip through my fingers. I've only done 38g so you're way ahead of me brother.

For the smaller wire I started wearing static free / art handling gloves. No lint from them and the wire just slides on it.

That wire looks awesome man!
