chef is that square wire or what, why is it looking square, it looks like ribbon with the lines on the sides, nice though 
It's 20g round kanthal A1. I ground it down with a file first, then used consecutively higher grades of sandpaper to get the finish I wanted.
ok so I've been wanting to do this coil for a looong time. I'm pretty pleased with how it come out for my first try. I felt really good, until I go on Instagram, then I see what some of those guys are making and I it blows my mind lol 
Ah so hand wrapped pics today...
26g/.4x.1mm/44g framed staple with a hand wrapped 30g Prometheus wrap on top:
one damn little screw up in the whole wrap.
Next: 3 core 26g alien with a 3x38g/40g fused Clapton wrap. Hand wrapped the alien bc the thin fused Clapton was so springy & felt like it would break in a drill.
That's a 30/38g 3 core alien underneath it. Not hand wrapped.
Coiled up.
Working on a new idea now with .5x.1mm ribbon, a strand of 24g & a nice wrap today.

Double post I know, but I learned how to Tsuka. Even after my first attempt gashed up my thumb and took a nice chunk with it on my first attempt
5x .5x.1mm/24g/5x .5x.1mm wrapped in a .5x.1mm Tsuka. I did 24g alien specs (3 core 24 ~ 1.533mm) on this coil because I originally planned on aliening it. Now I plan on taking some of the Tsuka off and replacing it with .3x.1mm/44g Clapton & making it a hybrid.
Also, this: 4x .4x.1mm/26g/4x .4x.1mm wrapped in a previously used 2 core 36/40g Clapton. Alien specs also. (3 core 26g ~ 1.215, these cores are ~1.205mm)

Finally made my first fused claptons last night. I'm like a proud papa
24x2 Kanthal core wrapped with 32 gauge Ni80. Slow ramp up, even at 130w. Going to do 26x2 Ni80 core tonight now that I am a little more comfortable.

Man I love how those tsuka coils look. Great job! How hard was it to get down? I've been wanting to try it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Know of any tutorials for the tsuka wrap?
Wrapped up some scraps of wire in my build box tonight. I had no idea I had this much sitting in there!

I'll post some pics later today when I start building on how I got the Tsuka. I also did a section of .3x.1/44g clapton Tsuka.
I literally just started making them, the pic I posted was my third go-around after getting it down on my second. The pic in this post was my 4th try at it.
I gotta be careful with my fingers and this wrap, my thumb has a nice chunk taken out of it from my first attempt haha

Double post again but this is what I ended up with. 5x.5mm/24/5x.5mm multiple changeling wraps. .5 Tsuka, 36/40 fused alien, & .3/44g Tsuka.

Alright guys, 2day is my bday & I just placed orders this wk for a Blk Griffin , a SS Gemini, a blk iStick TC 100w & a SS Cherry Bomb V2 mod. Not 2 mention, I just got my Noisy Cricket & Indestructible RDA in this week... So let the building begin. I'll be post'n pics over the weekend 4 sure...Happy Vapes Vaporheads !! I know I am, I think I'm in love with Series boxes. Plus I had to replace my old Nemesis clone, to put my Hobo V3.1 on. I just can't buy an atty, without getting a mod to go with it. That's like buying 1 shoe or peanut butter and no jelly. So I plan on spending my birthday practicing my coil builds & perfecting my .25 ohm 3mm Fused Clapton builds & I might throw in a braided coil too...

My first coil porn! The fused zipper clapton 3*30ka1 twisted clockwise and flattened 3*30ka1 twisted counter-clockwise and flattened fused with 36n80 5 wrap on 3mm comes in at .3 ohms

5x .5x.1mm/24/same as other side. Wrapped in a .3x.1mm/spaced 44g Tsuka. Ohm'd out at .05Ω single coil. It fires on my Rolo haha
So i want everyone's opinion on this image.
It was posted by some "newbie builder" @samir_builds on IG. He claims it was taken using only a phone camera (no macro lens), in broad daylight, & he fully colored it. Things here don't add up to me & it looks like a total photoshop job. Thoughts, opinions?
It seems everytime I build a good coil & I'm ready to post pics, I get something new in the mail... lol. .. My Griffin RTA is out for delivery today, so I'm gonna wait... My Gemini RTA should be here by the end of the week, but I'm also expecting a couple of Hobo clones. Well, I needed to replace my original, but I couldn't afford to get another authentic, trust I was in nearly in tears when I realized I lost it & replacing it with a clone sucks, but its the best I can do. I mean I ordered the V2.1 & the V3.1, I just miss the flavor of it. ..
