Okay, it rained Tuesday so I was out of commission..lol
But 2day is another day & the sun is out & I'm trying to decide what I'm gonna build on today... I just purchased an Authentic Ohmega 26650 Stacked Mod & I cannot wait to get it, but now I'm stuck on whether or not I want the rda that goes with it or should I get the Buddha V2 ?? Yeah I know, decisions, decisions... I'm still stuck in bed, with my toes in the air...(sigh) I remember when it used to be fun...lol
Hmm... at any rate, 1st things 1st... What am I gonna build on 2day ? If I knew how to build like Tom Forde, Slippy or Wharf, I wouldn't have this problem, huh ?

Let's see what I can manage to build later on 2day.. I did order some more wire, hopefully it'll come in the mail 2day or 2morrow, so I can get some more practice in... I'm not giving up, but perhaps I should fall back for a sec & try perfecting 1 build at a time...

Seems like everyone's throwing fat things into their Petri's. I threw in a frample, 28g frames, 10x .3 cores, wrapped in 40.

Also made this, just need to ultrasonic it. Went up to 2000 grit from 600, skipped 1k & 1500 bc I don't have them.

I was surprised the petri handled such a big build. I was worried it would be to hot at .06 with the staple coil I put in it, but it is a nice vape.

Yeah mine ohm'd out at .07Ω. Just put my first build in my Goon and it's a binary framed staple, 26g frames, under the 44g wrap it goes 26g(5,4,5,4,4,5,4,5)26g. It ohm'd out post coloring at .06Ω so I'm using it on my DNA 200 Rolo lol.

I figure why not test the quality with a super low build first?

After an hour of trying to built one coil I'm not able to vape it lol. It is my first attempt at what I believe is a staggered fused clapton. I used 2x 26g n80 and 3x .5x.1mm ka-1 ribbon claptoned with 30g n80. 5 wraps with an ID of 2.5mm. Came out to .10 ohm it really frustrated me because I had to hand wrap the 30g because every time I tried using my drill the 26g and ribbon started twisting together. It's a shame I don't have an atomizer that can fit it in without it touching the side wall.

Come on @CrazyChef polish down some 18g&20g N80 & post that thick stuff!

How about some 16 gauge Nichrome 80? This stuff is a major PITA to work with.

16g? That's a little much. 18g is where I cut it off. What's the ohms on that monster?
Edit: where do you even get up to 12k grit anyway? Highest I've found is 2k

It's 0.09Ω and you can get pretty much anything you want on eBay.

First attempt at a staple. Failed when wrapping the coil. I only got 1 wrap on the ribbon's edge. 3mm ID and measures 0.58 ohms. 3 pieces of 0.5x0.1 N80 ribbon for the core and a 0.5x0.1 N80 wrap.

Pretty happy with the photos. I made myself a mini lightbox to take coil pics. Much better lighting this way.

I got my Ohmega 26650 mod & I even was gonna wait to open it until the atty got here, but my son had to take pics of it & that's when I noticed... (sigh) I ordered Copper, but I received Brass... [emoji30] [emoji31] So of course, I'm sending it back, but the kicker is...
The copper Ohmega 26650 mod is "Sold Out" [emoji35] Wanna talk about ......?? I did get some wire today, I will be getting some practice in. I'm still you guys biggest fan [emoji3] Happy Vapes & Vape Safe....

Oh yeah, I almost 4got I also purchased the Copper Ohmega RDA & a Buddha V2. I'm expecting the V2 to get here 2morrow afternoon, so hopefully I'll figure out what new coil build I'm gonna try & get up early enuff to practice & master it, b4 the mailman gets here [emoji3] How's that for enthusiasm & wishful thinking, huh?

Sorry for not being around in while...was on vacation..and life has gotten complicated (in all the wrong ways)...so no building for me..

But Chef..holy ....e man...thats some drastic improvements. I mean, beyond holy ....e....Im dumbfounded. I havent gotten to practice with builds much the last month or two so Im still stuck on aliens for the most part. Mostly I just replace my fused coils when i absolutely have to.

Truth be told.. Wifey and I are putting the house on the market to downsize soon, and I am bit concerned where ever we move to..I wont have a vape/coil space...or least not a comfortable one. So if in the next six months..you get quiet inquiries from me for prices on a alien coils, or framed staples..you know why. XD

Hey CMB's,
How's it vap'in? Well I just decided to keep it simple and did a 10 wrap of 20g Kanthal, around a 4mm bit, reading .25 ohms on my Buddha V2

It hits pretty good on my Cherry Bomb V2 in Parallel mode and it's kinda nice on my Reuleaux as well. But I am on the look out for an Ohmega 26650 Box Mod (series) I was shooting for
.3 ohms no less than .28 to use it in series, but I missed the mark. Next time I'll know better & do 12 wraps instead [emoji16] The flavor is a whole lot better than I expected, from such a large atty.
