New connector that incorporates more than just power connectors, perhaps for sensors that adjust temperature, or can detect changes in juice viscosity or overall chemistry (like e-85 vehicles can adjust engine performance based on whether e-85 fuel or normal unleaded is used), maybe they will get rid of coils all together and opt for using an expansion valve and orifice tube (like A/C units use) to convert the liquid to a gas, but on the same line of thinking just sell small compressed tanks that will deliver a metered dose (similar to medicinal inhalers), who knows, one thing I am sure of is, it will be done in baby steps, not because the technology doesn't already exist, but because they can capitalize on each small improvement.

Pressurized atomizers would remove the need for stronger batteries as you would not need heat to atomize the liquid.

I was thinking ether pump or a syringe driven by a stepper motor to squirt the juice into/onto/through a hotplate or hottube which would create the vapor. No more wicking. Even juice flow control. Make the vaporizer washable/reusable and we've gotten rid of the custom tanks, wick and coils in one sweeping change.

    Like fuel injection.

Dreaming about future tech is nice but I would like to see more fine tuning of the existing tech, especially for the OCD vaper. For instance:

    1. There has to be a better way to design the threading on either the atty or mod that keeps the logo facing forward and the airflow vents to the side while still reading the resistance correctly.

    2. Drippers that don't make vapor condensate between the bottom of the RDA and the top of the mod. It's messy and contributes to ohm creep.

    3. Let's talk about ohm creep...If those nifty chipsets and control wattage, voltage, and temp, why can't they control the coil resistance. I hate fiddling with my atty constantly to get my mod to read the resistance correctly. I wrapped the coil to be .8 ohm, Iwant to vape at .8 ohm not .9 or 1.

The best next big thing is to grow the x-smoker vaping community as fast as possible. The more of us there are the harder it's going to be to mess with us. Apparently a routine periodic CDC survey of smokers finds their numbers are declining faster than ever to perhaps the lowest level in generations. The faster that goes the better. They probably aren't looking for dual users and I bet that would be a shocking number too. I was a dual user for six weeks before going to zero cigs.

    Well I have some ideas:

Maybe, a tank that has a little detector in it, and when the juice and coils reaches past a certain point the battery sends out a little message on the screen that says to refill the E-liquid or coils and wont fire till you do.

Perhaps the devices will get smaller but still manage to pack the punch of larger devices.

Touch screen, no more old school buttons and tiny LEDs like on my awesome as it is MVP 3. Maybe a future MVP will have touch screen, and will adjust the temp. But maybe it’d have presets for certain tanks and juices.

I took a vape just now, and I held the button down 17 seconds, maybe a future battery will keep a preset and will automatically fire for the amount of time I tell it to when I puff.

Also tanks that’s are easier and less messy to refill, perhaps the unscrewing part will be replaced with a new way of opening it up. And maybe something like refilling a car where once it’s full the hose deactivates but with a tank and E-liquid where you don’t need to pay attention to flodding the tank because the tank sends out a warning to stop filling or something.

No matter what new and exciting technology introduces itself into the vaping subculture we can count on the fact that it will baby step so companies can capitalize on every new development. Some of these advances will revolutionize the way we smoke and some will flop. I personally will always hold true to the statement that " Simplicity is the art of design" and "Less is better" . Alas these simplistic concepts don't do much for advancement in gimmickry and legitimate technology's but, I can only hope that with the advancement in vaping technology remains somewhat simplistic for the users understanding and ease of maintenance.........................................................G

China companies operate on price point manufacturing. They put the technology in to revolutionize vaping, and their mods would cost what an iPhone costs, and still miss the boat. Given they have so much success releasing the same mods with more power every couple months for vapers who need that extra 50 watts, there is no reason for them to put much into R&D. Maybe drop in coils which use more e-liquid and cost $8 each, as long as they make more clouds...

It seems to me that PG and VG were adopted by the vaping community while the hobby was in it's infancy because they presented themselves as a readily available product that fit the bill, and had some history as safe to consume food additives.

As the industry grows into a multi-billion dollar business I'd expect well funded R&D teams to come up with new liquid compounds that offered a superior vaping experience and medically proven neutral or positive inhaling properties.

That would be great, for sure. But so far, the major battery manufacturers, like LG, Panasonic, Sony, or Samsung, haven't shown much interest in developing batteries specifically for vaping purposes.
Maybe that will change, as vaping gains popularity.

There are no specific properties we are looking for that is not already the aim of current battery research. It's all about safes chemistry, higher energy density and faster charge/discharge. I dare go as far as say I'm not buying any battery specifically made for vaping in the foreseeable future. In my mind that would simply mean some PR department think they deserve something extra for their cleverness.

I'd like to see an AVC device.
    Adjustable Vapor Control.

Labeled - FDC on/off - flip it an no visible vapor ;)

    Meeting Market Demand AND bringing new Vaping tech to market, much like the Iphone{with its always lacking touted features{oh, next model will have it}

Because you prefer not to keep on top does not make it not happening.
    Yihi
    Innokin
    Smok(even them:facepalm:)

Spending plenty on R&D to improve product through technology

Market pricing is as much Demand driven as Value driven.
