Gotta give the you tube guy big props!!! He has answered all my questions very openly and quickly....even provided the below picture.
Is anyone familiar with this style of ego-t silicone grommet? I have looked around and can only find the type that replace the whole bottom.
would THIS be a suitable replacement?

anyone try the Ceramic rope at the ends of the AO rod? this is the ceramic thread after all...

By ceramic rope you mean Nextel, I did try it, and well........it taste like you are chewing on your shirt, definitely mutes the flavor, maybe I didn't give it enough time to break in, I tossed it on the pile.
I think they might just work!!! Now to figure out what else to throw in the cart
I'm getting some of the other ones from Poland, but it would definitely be nice to have a closer source.

did you buy the pre-torched rope?
didn't get a muted taste at all, don't mind the dirty coil...
needed a makeshift forge, to "treat it"... maybe it wasn't heated properly to get rid of the chems from manufacturing?

You would still want the OD of the wick sealed up good so juice has to go thru the center. The Taifun ceramic kit just looked pretty slick and clean using the grommet.
Since my slots are already cut square in the Fogger I will just use the carto ends.....but I do have a Taifun coming
well, since the cutout is square.. Why not a square wick? ;-)

So I was bragging up our AO wicks to the Taifun GT ceramic kit guy from you tube....You guessed it, now I'm sending him a couple wicks to go up against the fc2000 wicks
Now I'm hoping for some reciprocity to beta test his Taifun GT ceramic kit....but I have a small problem if that does happen....no Taifun GT
