Hey there Folks! What do u think is gonna be the next step of vaping Evolution? Yesterday i was Talking with a Friend of Mine about how in the end all atomizera Look mostly the Same and they all do work almost the Same. I believe in vaping there is a Lack of real Innovation. What do u guys think about this topic?

some things just dont go much farther than a typical design... for example, tires...
Ok but i was looking for some more creativity! like Tesla turrets with plasma streams atomiznig the liquid or vibration coils or new coils materials or a new way to vape that is different from cloud or flavor chasing. Something like this. I mean, how cool was it when they introduced TC! Is there still space for innovation in vaping? Or the only innovation possible is higher wattages or changing a screw shape or putting one more o-Ring?

Edit: Or lasers... Lasers are cool!

Think about marketing & making money because that's what drives all industries.

A PV (mod) works for far to long! An atomize almost never wears out, and you need to use a lot more juice.
So what I see in the future is not what we want to see.

I was using a mod yesterday that is almost 7 years old, and an atomizer that's almost 5. That's bad for business ... good for my wallet, but not good for business.

IMO as long as there are analogic smokers, there will be business for the vape industry.

    Hi and welcome,

Smaller, high capacity batteries with Inductive charging
    Miniaturized TC boards/chips for cig-a-likes.
Gel or solid e juice to minimize/eliminate spills/leaks.
    Sealed/closed systems and proprietary connections.

OP: What do you (realistically) foresee?
Jokes aside, lasers could be the future. Just think for a second: no need for coils and wicks, just a lightbeam from a diode that warms the liquid up untill it vaporizes. Doesnt seem bad at all to me!

The latest thing I've noticed is OLED mod screens that display all settings on a large, very clear display. Makes me want to buy one. Lots of new ones utilize OLED.

I started with a Kanger top box mini, not vey good on flavor but provided the nicotine and got me away from smoking a pipe that I had coughing problems with. I tried the Eleaf Pico that had much better flavor, a much better menu system that reduced a lot of clicking I had to go through with the Kanger. I'm now using the Smok G-Priv that has the touch screen, it is larger and heavier, it has two batteries instead of just one. So the screen is great for making any changes and this unit has become my favorite.
For me in a very short time they have done quite a job making the unit easier to use and producing more vapor and flavor. The basic idea is to get people to stop burning tobacco which could be done with nicotine patches but I think there is more to it than the nicotine. It's a good time to mention I went from 18 mg to 3 mg nicotine very easily, I think people like to stop and take time to think, clear their heads before moving on to the next thing.

maybe one day we'll be able to watch the superbowl in 4k while vaping on the same device!
Bigger displays means more battery drain unless its an e-paper one. But still useful !

I think the only advancement that might pull me away from my Pico/eGo ONE Mega combo would be an Ultralight power source that would make a cigalike the same weight as an analog. So you wouldn't have to be holding a mod in your hand all the time.

OR perhaps the technology I want already exists. Just replace the beer cans with 2 mods! I could deal with reaching up to push a fire button.

So does the Chinese New Year shutdowns! I get antsy this time of year when the stock hits zero on things I want.

We Americans take more holiday time off work each year than the chinese.

We spread ours out so much it hinders our own production and innovation throughout the entire year.

We do, but you don't generally see seasonal shortages because they project production rates and deliver enough product to keep the warehouse shelves filled through the holidays. That, and we generally take long weekends, not weeks of shutdowns.

Vendors in America obviously don't overstock Chinese products at the end of the year because inventory on hand is taxed in that year. They let it dwindle at that time and re-stock in January. My college accounting teacher told us he hated being a young accountant in December because he always spent the last two weeks of December as the less tenured guy doing inventory in clients' warehouses.

Just in time inventory control means you're out of stock if regular shipments stop arriving! :)

As a retired business owner, business is definitely affected by banks taking over half a month of holidays spread out over the year.
Here in the US its usually a monday.
This affects large ticket sales, credit applications, loans, payments, payrolls, wages, etc.

It would be better for everyone to lump them into one week....well, better for everyone except the banks.
    ;)

I like the idea of the coils for recharging the batteries, I once had an electric toothbrush that used coils to charge the batteries.
I found the Wisemec Predator 228 and liked the door for the battery compartment, tired of the magnets that attract metal. It still has all that clicking going on though.
So I don't believe I need two batteries which means the unit could be made smaller but I also need a screen with text large enough to read, guess I'll leave that up to the manufactures.
