The next step from an RSST?

I have a Smoktech RSST and enjoy it immensely. I was curious if anyone could suggest or elaborate on the spectrum of genny-style atomizers.

Is there anything below the $100+ original atty's that is functionally superior to the RSST, or is it about collectables vs. clones after this?

I'm mostly looking for something that has more build options; I'd like to try a U-Wick on a genny but I'd have no spot to fill liquid through on an RSST. A glass/metal tank is a plus also, until the RSST v2 comes around.

Thanks in advance for your input!

The new atomiser from vapinaze is the al1 and is up for pre-order right now. I'm a little turned off by the alluminium construction but it is set up for multiple configurations. U wicks are really only needed if u don't like to tilt or are having wicking issues. For the price point you can't beat the rsst. If your interested in trying dual wicks or u wicks check out the aga t2. It's a great entry level RBA and can be had for under 50 US dollars.

In my RSST, i am running a raw 18ga stainless steel cable wick in the wick hole into the plastic tank, which is great cause the raw SS cable wick doesn't short out inside the plastic tank, and at the tip of my SS cable wick is an oxidized wrap of SS mesh that acts as an insulator to the coil. My coil is a 3/4 wrap flat ribbon cable wire and im running .7 OHMs. I am using a GGTS clone, MNKE 18650 battery and its hits and vapes like a BEAST, but the cap does get REALLY hot next to the coil when chain vaping.

The biggest problem i faced in this build was having to twist the flat ribbon wire and pinch it in half and double wrap around on the screw posts to make it work, but the end result was very impressive in regards to the taste, and the cloud thickness. In this build i also had to convert to a different tip that had a delrin insulator to keep the tip heat from burring my lips.

I think when i rebuild my RSST down the road, i may instead go back to the kanthal wire instead to keep temperature down and to prevent lip burning. It has been working well for me the last 2 months, and has not stopped working well, but sometimes when chain vaping, it does bother me that the cap and eventually the tip gets hot.

Thats my RSST build.
