Well to avoid putting in multiple quotes.. Thanks everyone for your help!

@ Badititude : I am using a dual coil 2.0 Ohm atomizer with a tank 510 thread and will be sticking with this for a while since I have over 100 of them and they work well for us

@ kiwivap : Thanks for the link I will look at it cloder when I get home from work!

@ Buzzsaw : I had seen a couple of your posts on the Provari in other threads, but thanks for including the breakdown! I know they cost more but am not afraid to spend the money! I am just the type of person that hates spending a residual amount on replacement items if I dont need to be!

Thanks all of you again for the posts this place is really a great community filled with amazing insightful people!

I feel the same as you about residual spending, and have been bit many times by the false economy of buy cheap buy twice, not just with vapeing, but with other activities as well.

If you can afford the up front cost if the Provari it will not let you down. I bought a 2nd as a back up because I use mine in the pool and drop it on the hard wood floor at least 1 time every day. I have never had to send one of them in in nearly a year of abusing them. The provari is well worth the cost if you can afford to take the leap. If not the world won't stop turning. You just won't have that peace of mind when you drop it.

THANKS! I have been pouring over the options and really have started to shipped towards the Provari! I thought I wanted to get a VW as well But I never change my Carto style it is always 2 ohm, so no need to have the voltage to be changed across different ohm devices. Many people are praising the Provari and I do try to live by the rule that you get what you pay for lol!

@ Phaidra I think the research thing can seem to more of a curse than a blessing lol...but after all said and done I am always happy with my purchase so it does pay off!

@ Buzz once again... I could not agree more with that!

I just got a Vamo a couple weeks ago because of all the positive posts I had been reading about it, and I really wanted to try a VW device. For me VW was not all it's cracked up to be. As I switched from a ViVi Nova, to a carto tank, to a DiD clone I found I also had to change the wattage to keep the vape I wanted. The Vamo does have a nice menu system so adjustments are very easy, it is also pretty feature rich for the price. The vendor I got mine from only offers a 30 day warranty though so not a great value if I do have issues.

Just a heads up if u get a provari dont get there juice,i threw that junk out the window it was soooo gross!

Not trying to start an argument but I am curious, how long have you had your Zmax? Also which version do you have? I have heard the Zmax is built better than the Vamo.

Very true.

Did you make your final decision?

Lol I have actually decided to run with the Provari but wont be getting until I get my taxes back since it will be probably close to 400 for my wife and myself. I probably will pick up a bare vamo as well as a just in case back up and since it is not that expensive for a mod with no batteries ( at least next to the provari lol)

Hey guys -relatively new vaper here but I HAVE been busy-It's my new hobby. I started with an Ego C which kept me interested (and off the cigs) for about 2 weeks before I wanted more. I ordered a Provari which is my snob mod and I use at home and on special occasions. It is beautifully crafted and just feels "right" in your hand. BUT it is already outdated tech wise.

The newer Chinese mods Vamo and Zmax are variable voltage and watts whereas the Provari is only a variable voltage. Essentially the variable wattage (in layman's terms) lets you set the power and adjusts the voltage to the different atomisers, cartos etc that you use.

For now, until Provari come up with a VW update the Vamo and Zmax are in the zone. Build quality the Zmax wins hands down -it is 60% of a Provari. The Vamo has the better tech but it feels a bit "tinny".

I also have a Lambo which I really like. It kicks out way more voltage than what is shown on the display but I like the 2 button controls. I test all my SS wicks on the Lambo due to instant V readout at the press of a button. It is also slightly more tolerant of hotspots than the Provari or Vamo or Zmax.

For tanks my favourite and best vape is by far the mini DID clone. The Cobra clones are also great but required a little more work. I have a MM DID which I nearly threw at the wall but just this week after hours of tinkering I finally have it chugging like a train.

I would have to say that the Vivi Nova tanks are excellent and I usually use these on any of my mods when I go out. Reasons for not taking an RBA out with you -if your coil breaks you are screwed and far more chance of leaking especially if you leave the fill screw out. Also for me most rebuildables need to "settle" and having them in your pocket just does not aid the process. Vivi Nova tanks are your bread and butter -reliable and decent plumage with consistent flavour.

Zmax V2 would be where I would recommend you pitch your tent.

I see no reason to buy a provari with VW products now out in abundance, especially the VAMO. The provari's single button menu system is seriously slow to use and the device is VV only for close to 200$? Why? Sure its durable, more than twice the cost of more powerful devices durable? IDK the stainless zmax is pretty hefty too...
