I'm thinking of getting just throw this out 1st i'm not a noob to mech and our building but I only having tubs and Parallel box and never have used a hybrid "guess all I need is a adjustable 510 pin on the rda"
I plan on building x2 28g with a 36g wrap dual coil at .5ohm putting me at 16amps buy ohms law 24 amps if I push to a .4 but going to build .4-.5
I'm assuming that should be totally safe on Vtc4 batts any suggestions with considering this purchase

Without sounding like a jerk,if you aren't new to mechs and you know how to calculate amps, why are you asking if those batteries are safe?

With regards to the faux hybrid connection, you don't want an RDA with an adjustable pin. You want one with a protruding pin.

Not don't think you sound like a jerk I kind of came off that way asking if thy was safe never used a series box so...

Th 510 on the NC is a faux-hybrid connection. As with all faux hybrids, you want to use an atomiser which has a rigid non-adjustable 510 pin, which protrudes enough so that the battery cannot short between the positive and negative terminals. Opinion differs between mech mod users on how much it should protrude, but ultimately the further the better.

Just my 2 cents:

The NC is an awesome device, just be aware of what it is and how it works.

Pay close attention to the atomizer 510, especially if the positive pin is adjustable. They move.

The NC is a very basic device. You are the only safety.

I would suggest initially building above .5 on a series mech. Its nothing like .5 on a single cell mech.

I highly recommend the Fat Daddy Vapes Noisy Cricket Upgrade Kit... better 510, better button, and you get a nice tube mod out of the deal.

SHOP

That will, when used properly, eliminate most of the protrudng center pin question.

Next, know that not all .5 Ohm builds are the same... A dual coil, 6 wrap, 2.4 mm, 28 AWG KA1 will come in around .5 and will be terrible - potentially dangerous - on a series box. Dual 3 mm, 24 AWG KA1, 12 wrap will also hit .5 and run just fine on a NC.

In my case, Yes. I was getting intermittent firing.
Kept adjusting the neg firing button or the faux atty connector. A bit nerve wracking. Felt it was a bit dangerous. Took bottom off, some arcing, cleaned,, yet Still didn't want to use the Mod.
Happened to be at FDV, saw the jumpers, tried them. Fires cleanly every time, 9 months now.
No arcing, clean..
So far as the 510, you may want for peace of mind. Well machined. The copper tube? Worst single tube I've used. The neg firing button? Tit for tat..

The NC was actually my first Mech, I did though have the sense to thoroughly do my homework before diving in.

Anyway the NC isn't bad for a throw away series Mod. Personally I'd recommend the Elite Clone over the NC. I have both the Authentic and Clone. The Authentic of course the quality is superb but the Clone isn't bad and for around $20 way better buy than the NC.

The NC is a great little device if used wisely. If I want to use an atomizer on a DTB mod like the NC that doesn't have a safe 510 I use one of these.
