Dani, Please do not take this wrong as I truly only wish to help you out here. Please take a step back and do not proceed any further until you have a proper ohm reader in hand!!!
The issues you are having can be or are all about your build and I think it's time for you to start over from scratch. Your problems could be stemming from a couple of things, A short which is not good at all. You could of severed one of the coil legs when you tightened the posts or it could also be that the atty is not making proper contact with the mod its self. It could also simply be that you do not have your coils tight enough in the posts.
Now this may sound a bit critical but in all honesty, your coils are a mess. Again, I do not mean to seem harsh here but you really need to perform a do over. To start with, the coil legs are grossly uneven and not properly trimmed. They are also very misaligned. I am however going to give you an A for effort as you sat down and gave it a shot and for this you should be proud.
So the next question is, how do we go a bout fixing the issues? First and foremost is the Ohm Reader! Once you have this in hand, this is what I would recommend that you do. Do a search for one of two on line coil building reference tools . The first being " Steam Engine" and the second being " Coil Toy". Study and understand them before you proceed. Once you've got a handle these, pick the coil resistance that you desire. Since you are a mouth to lung hitter, A low sub ohm build is not the first place to go. In fact, I would recommend no lower than 0.8 ohms or higher. Sit down with fresh Kanthal and build two coils to the specifications required. Try to build both coils exactly the same with both legs pointing in the same direction. This is known as coil return. One end will be opposite of the other in terms of the coil legs being top and bottom. ( Coil Toy gives you a visual of this) Make sure to leave to "legs" of the coils at least an inch long and straight as possible out off both of the coils.. When you have built the coils ( with the legs straight) you are now ready to install them to the atty. Do this by threading the legs through the posts one coil at a time and before you tighten anything use your wrapping tool, a couple of drill bits or even a couple of tooth picks to not only align you coils so that they are both even with each other on both sides of the atty in between the posts but "also" making sure that the coil legs are the same length between the posts and the coils themselves.( for the Stillaire about 3mm or so should do) Once you have done this, then go ahead and tighten your coils ( making sure that they are snug but not over tightened to were you sever the wire) and then test the atty on the ohm meter. If the reading you receive is close to where you chose to build, then it's time to snip the legs down as close to the posts as possible. Re check the ohms! If your reading is steady and the same, you should be good to go. Fiddle with the coils a bit with your finger to make sure that they are tight in the posts and then put the atty on your device and "Bump" fire the coils a few times to see if you get a nice red glow. If you do not, it may be time to start from square one again.
As far as the atty connection to your device goes, does your unit have an adjustable center pin? Is it adjusted to make good contact with the atty itself? A bad and or oxidized or dirty conection may also cause lack of current to the atty so this is something that should be checked as well.
As far as the Stillaire itself goes, I think that since you are a mouth to lung hitter, you will find more enjoyment with the AFC throttled at the very least, half way closed rather than fully open.
I wish you nothing less than the best of luck and hope this helps you with your journey towards a very satisfying dripping experience.
If you have any further questions please do not be shy or ashamed!
