Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

This is what the current build looks like, but I've since re-wicked using a bit less cotton. Still trying to find the sweet spot. Using KGD.

I have found so far that if I'm running it hot (35-40W on 0.5 ohms) and chain vaping AND that tank is very full it happens quite easily. If the power is dialed down and the tank is not as full it's not a problem. I drove back from NY tonight - 2+ hours in the car vaping my face off and not a bit of spit.

Drip tip is from a Taifun, but not the stock one - here's how she looks put together:

Now the picture has become a bit more clear. 3mm / 1/8" Coils no? Larger coils, low ohms / higher wattage in a small space is a sure case for the snap, crackle and pops. Looks like a crap load of wick as well. You are probably boiling the juice a bit creating a ton of excess vapor in the barrel and chimney.

Just a suggestion but the typical build for the higher VW devices is usually recommended at 1.0 ohms. With that being said, maybe try a build closer to 2mm / 5/64 in the 0.7- 0.8 ohm range and go from there if you desire to crank up the juice into the 30-40 watt range. This should greatly reduce the amount of juice being carried over to the drip tip.

Nice firing device by the way, what is it?

My coils look bigger on the Internet. ;)

These are 2.4 mm ID coils and yes it's a metric crap load of cotton in that one. lol. I used less when I re-wicked, but it's probably still too much. I am going to keep playing around with the aqua builds to find the sweet spot. But overall I have to say I am impressed with this RTA.

The mod is an SX Mini and it's easily the best VW mod I've owned. There's a lot of info in this thread on them:

Magma is here!

View attachment 401465 View attachment 401466

real crappy first build, just testing the waters.. liking the eGo adapter with 19mm thread cover!

eta: squished the coils together and rewicked with more rayon. 1.8ish at 3.8v (or whatever the iStick actually is).. really like this!

A bit late but go back and have a look at posts 28,32 and 145. Good picks of coils on the magma.

post 32 is how I've been wicking- post 1080 gave me a great guideline for wick length! I might rebuild to 1.5-1.6, never gone lower than 1.3- I like single coils. have to drop my nic to 3mg using this!

a question on the Magmas.. when using only a single coil, can you block the deck airhole on the side you're not using? what would be a safe, non-absorbent "plug" to avoid juice coming out all over the place? I don't just wanna fill it up with super glue (ok, yeah I do), and the cotton plug I made is not working- taking on liquid and getting juice all through the AFC ring and elsewhere, as if it didn't exist at all..

Yes small problem with the magma the leaking. I took a thin oring from a kayfun and put it in the top groove. Helped a lot. Also try and keep my wicks away from outside wall and lay up against posts more. Also don't fill all the way to the rim.
Hope this helps.

You got playdough in your house? I little dab will come out with hot water and a breath of air.

thanks! I definitely overfilled last night- wanted to see just how much it would hold, but of course it didn't vape very well for a little bit.

Why, and what's the learning curve?

Rayon is a little harder to form into a point to insert into the coil and you need to use a little more/thicker than cotton as it doesn't expand as much with juice. I go back and forth between KGD and rayon. Right now I'm liking KGD more, but like everything vaping that is subject to change.

Thank you!
I've been on a KGD kick for a while and have been enjoying the results. That said, I'm always looking to improve my experience (safely).

Edit: okay, followed the link you posted and started reading. The OP makes some amazing promises regarding rayon. Sounds worth a try.
Where does one find it?

Sally's beauty salon. Shoot me a pm I'll send you some. A 12 dollar box has like 900 feet in it or something redunculous...

Graham CelluCotton Cotton Coil it's in stores too. You only want the 100% rayon though...

Anyone have some insight?

Jeffrey, not too long before your post I was seeking some pro help on this too. I think 90% of these problems come down to build/use specifics. I've had this crop up on two different atty's so far. A KFL+ v2 and more recently an Aqua v2. In both cases changes to the coil and/or wicking greatly improved the situation. If you are getting any snap, crackle, and pop that's a pretty good sign that you're at risk for a juicy ride. Putting more cotton into the coil should help if that's happening. I think the rule of thumb is twice the amount of cotton than the inner diameter of your coil. So if you're using a 2 mm coil, then 4mm of cotton should be about right. However, this varies a lot by preference, skill, and wicking material. No easy answers right?!? ;)

Best advice I could offer is to keep experimenting until you find something that improves the experience - that will give you some idea that you're moving in the right direction.
