That was the ground up glass they put in it. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but frankly, your in-laws just don't like you.
I knew it!

Good News, I'm still waiting for an apology. I did not call you any names whatsoever, all I did was prove your theory that oranges are more acidic than lemons, which others have done as well. That, and correct your usage of palate and palette.
Do I get no credit for looking up "PH" in Wikipedia?
or lemon juice, which are more alkaline in form, in terms of mass production.
I tried oj, but now my tongue only can taste soapy perfume
so now what...are my taste buds fried? I'll try some pga...

I'm willing to try the OJ test, probably tomorrow as I don't usually have it on hand. But what am I supposed to taste? If I'm gaping my favorite liquid, Bounty Hunter, will it just taste more pronounced? Or do I need to have unflavored liquid, just to see if my coil is clean, is that what you're saying?
Essentially, if you vape non-flavored, or try orange juice, the effect would be the same - although there are variants between the human tongue, and orange juice essentially turns a normal tongue into super-taster mode because of the drying effect. You can also dehydrate your tongue by not drinking for awhile while vaping, and the effect will also be the same.
Vaper's tongue is a product of dehydration usually. Drink lots of water, brush your tongue with toothpaste when you brush your teeth, and wait. Your taste will come back. Peppermint sticks also help re-hydrate your mouth.
All you should be concerned with is if you taste a wicky, burnt, metallic, or soapy taste after the orange juice, really. If it tastes metallic, it means that really, metallic ions are in your vape. If it taste burnt, it means there's probably a lot of organic gunk (like on bacon). If it tastes like singed sock or wicky, it means your vape is not wicking well (or possibly there's some metallic ions in there as well), and the soapy taste is a mystery that I'm either trying to source to plastic bottles, or other ingredients, such as possibly PG.
The thread derailments will stop. Now. End of discussion.
