Your drawing was spectacular! I cut the wick like a pointed round paintbrush, that that seems to do the trick. I do need to find my little thread snips though, because the full-sized scissors were a little awkward for the task.

Birds as adaptive technology, brilliant.

I grabbed a pair of beard-trimming shears for trimming wicks. They're divine :) I have had to use full-sized ones on occasion - yes, messy :(

Birds are quite intelligent. They're a bit more than I care to handle as a "caretaker" tho....

So far I'm loving the attys I got during the sales. I haven't tried the KF 4s yet, though. Don't want to spoil a good thing. :D I could just kick myself, though, for not getting 10 of those $3 Orchids. I got 4 and worried that I'd hate them. But I love this thing! I've hardly wanted to vape anything else.

The Orchid V5's I got (Tobeco) are my daily Vape.

SS430 wire coil @ 0.6 ohm on the Cloupor Mini+ in TI mode is problem free.

The Orchid is so easy to coil on and wick it's almost boring.

Mine have not leaked a drop.

I still do MTL with it, Like a Pipe smoker kinda thing.

Pretty sure I am going to buy more of them (Have a few already).

Love the all polycarbonate V5.

Eric

Arthritis due to Lyme disease. The bones in my right wrist have moved twice now due to the underlying soft tissue damage. One of those bones is grabbing a ligament and when it let's go, OMG, the pain makes me see stars  And its very creepy, too! It goes boing like a bungee cord.
Oh my! Poor thing!

I think you're right about people being afraid to start building, Roxy. I had my first 2 Erls for months before I ever even attempted building them. I only bought them because they were just $5 at Angel Cigs and a couple people in the tootle puffer thread said they were good tootle puffers. I read that entire ginormous Erlkonigin thread and watched a bunch of vids and finally tried it. I think it took me over an hour the first time. I guess I had beginner's luck, because I nailed the build and ended up with a great vape. In fact, it was better than anything I'd ever vaped up to that point. So I was entirely hooked.

I'm not really sure what my fear was all about. I had been rebuilding t3s and GS Air coils for a long time, and they're so tiny that they're actually a lot harder to build than an RTA. There are plenty of other tootle puffers who also rebuild their stock coils but are afraid to venture into rebuildables, so I'm not sure what it is. I do think it's partly because they don't think these tanks can tootle. For most of this year, we've seen one subtank after another come out. And since a lot of them have build decks, I think they often get confused in people's minds with RTAs. That's why this thread really opened my mind about the wide variety of tanks available that I might like. Now I've got quite a variety of tanks and have really enjoyed the journey. (Well, except for those damn Kayfuns! :D )
I'm the same as you were. I think I'll try over Christmas break.

Eric, if you want more of these, now is the time. I just bought a whole bunch of v4s for $1.19 apiece and v5s for $1.76 apiece. Read my post here for the links:

What's the difference between V4 & V5?

From what I can gather, the main difference is that the v5 has an all acrylic tank so you can see your juice better. The v4 is like a Kayfun in that it is mostly metal and has a small acrylic insert in the middle. But I never used that tank at all. I used a Kayfun M tank. I like the look better. And I definitely like being able to see my juice. I'll let you know once my order comes in if there are any other differences.

That may be the best answer yet. :D From what I've read, they're very similar. You can mix and match parts between the two. In fact, you can use Kayfun parts for them, too. You can build your own franken-tank. :D

Be sure to let us know how you like that Renegade! :D

I don't foresee any problems :). I have 3 sx mini m classes and consider them my ultimate mods. Same chip, but dual battery in the Renegade. Once I update it, it will be 150W, have 5 power settings, ni200 and ti modes plus manual tcr. Perry is giving a 1 year warranty on the chip and internals.
