I think you're right about people being afraid to start building, Roxy. I had my first 2 Erls for months before I ever even attempted building them. I only bought them because they were just $5 at Angel Cigs and a couple people in the tootle puffer thread said they were good tootle puffers. I read that entire ginormous Erlkonigin thread and watched a bunch of vids and finally tried it. I think it took me over an hour the first time. I guess I had beginner's luck, because I nailed the build and ended up with a great vape. In fact, it was better than anything I'd ever vaped up to that point. So I was entirely hooked.
I'm not really sure what my fear was all about. I had been rebuilding t3s and GS Air coils for a long time, and they're so tiny that they're actually a lot harder to build than an RTA. There are plenty of other tootle puffers who also rebuild their stock coils but are afraid to venture into rebuildables, so I'm not sure what it is. I do think it's partly because they don't think these tanks can tootle. For most of this year, we've seen one subtank after another come out. And since a lot of them have build decks, I think they often get confused in people's minds with RTAs. That's why this thread really opened my mind about the wide variety of tanks available that I might like. Now I've got quite a variety of tanks and have really enjoyed the journey. (Well, except for those damn Kayfuns!
