Glad that helped. I looked for TLDR as well and just decided to write one. Only issue you will have is the TCR. It is .00136 but Steam Engine has no curve for it yet. What mod are you looking at using it on? I think the wire setting would be 13 for the clone nickle accuracy mods. Otherwise you will have to experiment with changing the temp to get the right vape.

I have one of those little cloupor mini+ from the giveaway. I haven't used temp control before so I was a bit up in the air with the wire. I know I don't like the taste of NI it gives me a bit of a fizz on the tongue so SS seemed like an option.

There still is a small amount of nickle in the SS430 but you won't notice it unless you have an alergy to it. I would look at the cloupor thread and see if anyone has used it yet.

I don't think I am allergic to it just that I vape mints and strong menthols and the fizz seems to taint their taste. Strangely kanthal has the least impact in taste for me.

I have a 2.5mm ID, 8 wrap SS dual coil config at .31 ohms (DNA200). That in Grade 1 Ti would be .16 or so. That means more battery life.
In a regulated mod wattage determines battery drain not resistance.

Doesn't hurt that 200 ft was $10.
Source please :D

That makes sense, we chose Kanthal A1 because it is the most chemically inert resistance wire available.

I love them, too - they have great flavor, are easy to build, are nice looking, and very easy to fill. But I discovered something new - at least for me - when I put in dual coils in one of them. My first one I used a single coil and vape from 9-10 watts. But I couldn't really get the great taste on the dual coil one until I hit 15 watts - which I've never been at before. But the really great taste came at 18-20 watts. So that's where I've been vaping it. I feel like I'm in uncharted territory. Oh no! Does that make me a mod whomper??? :D

If you want to be :). I consider 20W and below tootling.

Nope. You're still vaping at 9-10 watts (per coil)...

Sorry. :D

You haven't gone to the dark side until you buy an Aromamizer :D

Have we talked about the Hurricane? The authentic is by E Phoenix. Tobeco and FT have clones. It can tighten down to the tightest airflow or up to a comfy m2l,.despite its name, lol!..single coil, easy to build and fill.

I have a suspicion that Aromamizer would be WAY too much for me to handle. :D But the Hurricane sounds interesting (I think I'm getting addicted to buying RTAs). How is the flavor?

Its a harmless and fun addiction :)

Hurricane has pretty good flavor. Its basically a better looking Taifun that isn't a hulking monster.

The Aromamizer isn't for everyone, that's for sure, but its a load of fun because there are so many ways to build it. But, it excels over 50W.

I am so ready to buy, but since it comes in various gauges, I was wondering how the resistance compares to equal length in kanthal. I dont mind a few more wraps, and I like the idea of 28 gauge, I always go single coil so I dont want to have to make crazy amounts of wraps. Especially with some of my smaller atties.
