My provari is collecting dust ever since I found mechanicals. Then, the dna devices came out and my mechs are only used part of the time at home with gennies on them. My main squeeze for the past few months have been dna devices with kayfuns on top.

Just wondering why a 1/3 dozen topic specific post (RDA/e-Juice/IGO-W/Kayfun/etc.) get moved to their specific related catagory almost Daily? Even current important Media News is shuffled off rather quickly.

Yet Provari threads, rehashing the same hash that was hashed hundreds of times before are left in the General Discussion area instead of being moved to the appropriate - APV area where they, like other devices should have been posted to begin with.

Anyone that thinks anything NEW is really being discussed needs to learn to use that little box at the upper right of the page - search

Yeah, I've never used a Provari, but anyone I've talked to that have tried both, says DNA 30 blows it away. I have a DNA 30 chip, just haven't built anything yet.

That is great if you need that much wattage. My problem with the DNA30 is it doesn't go LOW enough for me.

What I don't understand is why specifically, Provari owners get so much flack around here.

You are correct, variable wattage is for uh, newbies... I would not reccomend the provari for you. It is also a social status thing, and i dont feel you are ready for that anyway... This is just my opinion ofcoarsw

We don't need to win. The Provari does that for us.

Yes. EVERYONE should have a Provari. If they get anything else, it's a backup

Once you get the Provari you will have no more patience for the lower class of Vamo/SVD/Zmax/Tesla/LavaTube type devices...

Provari's have and never will be cloned because you can't clone perfection and as for Reo's.... well... umm.... they already did. They're called wheel chocks.

And always remember that there are only 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who own a Provari and those who wish they did.

They want a cheaper mod? Than let them have that cheaper mod. At the end of the day they will wise up and end at a provari xD

No. Those who own ProVari know how to vape...

The more I think about the technology, quality checks, expense, & thought put into the production of the provari, it makes ever other device seem as if they're coming from some old dudes garage with the help of 4 or 5 of his drinking buddies.

Seems like half of ECF owns a ProVari and the other half wishes it owned a ProVari (with a vocal minority that refuses to believe).

I'm proud of my ProVari. I'm like a kid with a brand new toy "HEY GUYS LOOK AT THIS!" *Pulls ProVari from his jacket and holds it up to the sky* Muahahahahaaaa!

So there I was, walked in with my ProVari in hand (because it's amazingly reliable and because it's a ProVari). I was there to buy juices and just browse the shelves as most people do, since I heard so many great things about their juices. But I'll get to that in a second. Anyways I'm looking and walking around and the lady who initially tried to help me before being whisked away by another shop keeper, came up to me and said "Oh nice battery holder but I think you should take a look at our mods". Then the 'provarinati' came into my head and said "Beat this woman with your all powerful ProVari!" As I clenched my fists I looked at her and kindly replied "Ma'am, I don't think you know EXACTLY what this is". Her face turned pale and the stupid look she had then faded. Now, knowing what I know now, I just popped the top off my Z-Atty Pro, pushed my fire button and showed them the "Last Man Standing" Coil. And watched as one of the guys immediately spotted the ProVari logo and the Zen~ stamp on the top cap and on the inside of my tank and he quickly pushed her off to the side and said "I see you're a builder and that's a mighty fine coil you got there, what's the Ohms on it?" And I told him what the Ohms were and how many wraps and strands I used to build it before finally asking to try some of his e-liquids.

The point of the story is - some folks just envy the beast mods. And some, just don't know what the !@#$ they're talking about - or have never seen it before. If you don't know what it is, don't pretend to know, ASK!

Partial quotes are funny. When some one attacks you, there is a tendency to defend yourself. Im told time and time again that provari sucks for not having variable wattage, i am also told its for a social status. That is ofcoarse only on ecf, as in the real world i dont personally know any one who vapes.

Opinions are just that, and every one has one and they are not the same as every one else's. I have two provaris and love them.
I also have a mvp2 that is ok, a chi you clone i hate and right now im looking at the private v2 and the launcher and a poldiac clone. Guess what, they last three dont have vw either. I'm getting them for the fact they are cheap. Look nice and i have the money to do it.

I personally dont care who owns a provari or not.
I get frustrated when some one asks for insight on the provari and when the opinions are given i am told im stuck up, stupid, novice, or looking for a social status.

Get over yourselve.buy what you want to buy. No one really cares.
Just stop putting people down for what they use.

I don't give two cares if someone has a pavari or not. It does not impress me at all whatsoever! Anyone who thinks they are better because they own a specific name brand item has a lot of maturing to do. That's for sure. Name brands do NOT impress me. It reminds me of my 14 year old son who thinks certain name brand clothes make a person better. That kind of attitude to me lacks maturity. I'm always telling him look for who the person is, not what they wear. I'm vaping to stop smoking not to impress anyone. I like what I like and you like what you like but opinions are subjective and can be different for everyone. Certain people not saying you, need to check themselves because a name brand does not make them better than any one else!

Time to tear it down and check / clean all connections. No reason for a mechanical to Shock except an area where an arch or short is occurring. Could be a center pin issue on the topper.

Yep i just recently cleaned it real good, with 99% alcohol. I think my kayfun shorted. After getting shocked i checked on the ohm meter it is 0.09 ohms. Dont know why it would randomly short i didnt drop it or anything. This keeps happening. So im thinking, can the mech cause a short. I'm using the batteries i use for my provari. The 18490 aw imr.

The first time it shocked me was with a 2 ohm carto tank! So im thinking its not my tanks causing the short. But something else. I'm hoping to figure it out as im wanting to venture out to more mech mods, this makes me leary being as my mvps and provaris just dont fire as opposed to shocking me. And I'm telling ya i look for the blisters, it hurts. Im also thinking maybe a kick would help prevent problems but i dont see many 18500 batteries

Not sure what to tell you to check on the Tank. But a small fleck of metal may have survived the cleaning process and has shifted to the Positive pin area. I had that happen 2 weeks ago on one of my Kayfuns. Stripped it down after getting a .02 reading and found a shard about the size of a grain of sand. it had rested against the center pin and tube causing a major short.

510 threads are the hot point for good current flow. if a bit poor, your lips to hand could become part of the ground path. Try a Delrin Drip tip or delrin tip insulator if it happens again. This should give you and indication if you are part of the path.

I notice on my chi you, my 510 pin shifts some with my tank on it, my tank will look slightly lopsided, could that have something to do with it?

Sorry, but that's just not the case.
DOZENS of people say exactly the same thing - you can tell, and it is better.
I didn't REALLY believe it before I bought one for other reasons (mostly cuz it's so much more compact than other good regulated devices), but found there is ABSOLUTELY a noticeable difference in the vape compared to other mods.

Same settings, same top. Different.

"The vamo is a much harsher vape"- i suspect if you were blinfolded and couldn't touch the device and could only vape from the same driptip and each device was set correctly you couldn't tell between a bunch of devices which was which. until someone does a blind test we will never know.......
