I was bored and since I have an Orchid on the way, I thought I should build me a dual coil on one of my drippers just to see what it's like (first one ever). Generally, my single coils are about 1.1Ω - 1.2Ω and the dual I build is at 1Ω. I don't see much of a difference, except juice consumption.

So, what is the advantage of dual coils over single?

Glad you asked because I always wanted to know as well

Supposedly, you are get more vapor, and thus, more favor. But, I am with you. I recently picked up a Tugboat with dual coils. While I enjoy the difference (more vapor, more flavor, much more airy draw) it does go through the juice!!

I might try making a single coil for it and see what that is like....

Strange. First buy from vaporshark and already I'm baffled by the customer service.

Didn't realize that the rDNA 40 comes with the wireless charging receptor in-built, so I didn't buy the charging transmitter.

Found out about it, and messaged them to ask if I could add the charger to my order.

Their answer (Brian) was "no you'll need to place another order because this is a preorder"

What.....?!

Increasing the number of coils without an accompanying increase in wattage will provide no improvements. In fact, there's a good chance of diminished performance. Nods

If it's consuming more juice, it should be making more vapor... With double the surface area, but still a low resistance, that's what should happen...

After I fixed my brand new Heron, it's vaping pretty well. Seems GP's QC is slacking big time. The 510 adapter I got with it was garbage too, but they're replacing that for me. After we get everything sorted out I need to mod one of the pins for my Ant. They're both a 201 connection, but the Ant is so tiny. I had to back out the switch a little to get it to work for now.

ProAnti  This is my new favorite mod.

Maybe the clone is better?
Geeze. im scared to order one of them now. How did you fix it? How well does the top cap fit? My clones a little loose I think I just need orings, Did you buy from vapour art or domo?

I've been rocking my clone with zero issues. I've been using rayon, but thinking of giving silica a try. I've got silica in my dripper pro right now and love it, it holds more juice which means less dripping! And no burnt hits yet.

Oz have you tried the beck tips yet?
Im slowly replacing all my tips with necks. I hate auto correct, it won't let me type beck with an s!

Update on the Ruz.....Loving it now!!! Except for the beauty ring part....re-wicked with a tad more cotton...Fill is so easy! Filled it with a juice I like better and she is off to the races....nice vape, easy fill, if you can ignore the beauty ring problem or get one it likes....it is a nice little tank.

Yes...this...Cranked the voltage up on the Provari and therefore the wattage up on the fogger and you can't see me from the clouds...:D and no burnt taste!

I have the voltage at 4.2 on the 1.7 ohm fogger dual coil build and that is as high as I can go without hitting the limits of the battery. This equates to a little over 10 watts...as opposed to my average 7.7 watts single coil builds.

Those extra 10 on the P3 will come in handy on the dual coil builds.

Lol...and no I am not a cloud chaser now...the extra vapor is satisfying though. Even though I bought a DNA 40 device....I will probably never vape at 40 watts....or even 30....but I do want temp control....burnt wick is nasty imo....

The positive post was loose & the screw was overtightened. I had to take off that nut under the spring loaded pin (which was loose anyways), and get the post screw off. After that I had to reinstall the post, but actually get it tight. It was a major PITA. The adapter I got won't screw on to the base & the brass screw holding it together wasn't machined with a deep enough slot to take it apart without damaging the screw. I emailed Domo, they got right back to me within a few minutes & I just need to mail the adapter back in. They offered to exchange the Heron as well, but I think I've got it fixed fine now. Just frustrating when you order an uber-expensive tank brand new & you have to work on it for 2 hours before you can put a coil on it.

The top cap is pretty snug. It's not so snug that it's tough to get off, but it'd be pretty difficult to knock it off/loose accidentally.

Wow oh wow Oz, i ordered my PAPS lux v3 from domo, find their customer service outstanding.
I had no problems setting up my clone. So maybe I will hold off on getting an authentic....

My only issue has been I wish the top cap screwed on, it hasn't come off recently, but when I first set it up i pulled off the drip tip and the entire cap came off! But you know how orings do, they kinda seal after it has set for a bit.

Now the clones don't have the gp logo on them any more, so im curious if the authentic tubes will fit on a clone base. I really like the logo and am thinking of getting another paps. Maybe one in stainless steel this time.

Hey I don't know if you vape nicoticket, but if you do, h1n1 is awesome in the heron, I don't know how or why. They were meant for each other!

I think it was just luck of the draw. I've heard that GP's QC has gone down the crapper as of late.

I kinda want a Paps, but I haven't found the model I like yet. I don't like all the separate tubes with the X & I'm not a fan of that goofy looking switch they put on a lot of them. Plus they're pretty pricey. I think my next one is going to be a GUS G22. I can get all 3 tubes shipped for about $100. Plus I've heard their switch is one of the best on the market.

I did order one of the extra drip tips with my Heron... the polished vase. Super high quality tip. It's not one of those cheap ming-styles either. I'm really loving this drip tip. I might have to order the other style they offer... and maybe another one of these. I've been looking for some good high quality SS tips with dual rings on them.

It's the way their system is setup with all the pre-orders.... I ordered a charging base from eBay for 7 bucks and saved the money..
