Yo Tony. Did your stingray x clone come with a kick ring? Mine doesn't fit 18650 with kick. With a 18490 and kick, I can't screw my switch in completely

No it didn't but ft sells just the small top tube and from what I understand that let's you use a kick and 18650.
I haven't tried it but I've been told that by a few folks. My worry would be If the color matches: but, if you take that small tube off you can tell it'll work space wise...

Just curious, have you tried the other extension instead in 18490 mode?
With my clone, using one of them my AW 18490s fit perfect, using just the other there's a ton of empty space.
The extensions aren't equal length for me.

My stingray x comes in 3 segments. Using all 3 only lets me do 18490 with kick. And the switch doesn't go in as much as i would like

Only at this one gas station near my house. They have the lowest prices around, like 10 cents lower so it's always crowded. The gas station across the street is usually empty.

So you save maybe a buck or 2 per tank, but you burn a few bucks of gas waiting in line to get it? I always laughed at the people who'd drive all over town looking for the cheapest price on gas. Simple math seemed to elude them when they thought they were getting a deal by saving 3 cents per gallon.

my paps has the v3 switch. and i love it. i am having a issue with the screw working lose though. about once a day. they said to tighten it with a screw driver... i'm prolly just being to girly about putting some torque into it.
the stainless steel gp paps v3 is about 120 if pieced together in 18650 mode. that's how i did my lux v3, but it was about 180.

i have not seen a gus g22 so maybe i should google it. i like the recessed switches though. tired of auto fires.

i highly reccomend by leo's beck drip tips. i have the wide barrel beck. but i am going to get more. the wide barrel is great for dripping. they have dual orings as well

The GUS isn't recessed, but it has a nice locking ring. According to a friend who has/had just about every mod in existence it seems, he claims the Gus has the nicest switch out of any bottom firing tube mod. My Ant is recessed, but no lock. But it never auto-fires either. They didn't put one on because it was the smallest mod at the time. Even now, the shortest mod is only 1mm shorter. Honestly for me, it's too short in 350 mode. 500 mode is perfect though. It's about the same length as a KFL without a drip tip.

The GUS G22 in polished, 500 mode. You can remove that top cap & have a 201 connection. The GP & GUS stuff is pretty much interchangeable. I'm debating between another Heron & a G22 for my next purchase. Now that I finally got the Heron working, I'm digging it. The flavor isn't *quite* as good as my KFL's, but I just wrap my coils 1 wrap smaller & it does great. Living up here at altitude, the no-leak design is AWESOME! The only problem is that the Heron is almost twice the cost of the G22. What a pricey little tank.

I think it was just luck of the draw. I've heard that GP's QC has gone down the crapper as of late.

I kinda want a Paps, but I haven't found the model I like yet. I don't like all the separate tubes with the X & I'm not a fan of that goofy looking switch they put on a lot of them. Plus they're pretty pricey. I think my next one is going to be a GUS G22. I can get all 3 tubes shipped for about $100. Plus I've heard their switch is one of the best on the market.

I did order one of the extra drip tips with my Heron... the polished vase. Super high quality tip. It's not one of those cheap ming-styles either. I'm really loving this drip tip. I might have to order the other style they offer... and maybe another one of these. I've been looking for some good high quality SS tips with dual rings on them.

I do love the GP drip tips too! Don't always use the tanks--but always have one of those drip tips on something !

I see--glad you don't have to 'line up' everywhere! Drove by a gas station on the other side of town yesterday that had $2.96 for regular ! Wish I had needed to fill up!

oooh! i'm glad you are liking yours.what are you wicking with? i have been using rayon, tried some cotton but i didn't like the way it tread thru the cap hole.
so back to rayon and alls good right now.

right now my 510 adapter is stuck to my paps top cap. ugh. feels wierd having a clone on a authentic.
got my second ebaron coming this week, the spiral, i was gonna put that on my paps.

i just love the seemless look of this heron, fake or not on the gp paps.
and that fluff is easy to work with, i switched flavors and didn't have to rinse it, it was pretty dry already.

i have been drooling over the bod mecha.

Just tried the two different drip tips the gp. Then the beck. Major flavor differemce. Just a fyi since you mentioned muted flavors

They feel really nice on the lips. Very well machined. And I don't buy anything that doesn't have dual o-rings on it anymore. I really think I need another one of these things. The question is another vase or do I go with the classy. I'm leaning towards another vase.

I hated rayon. Someone sent me a bag of it to try out. I tried wicking with it twice & threw the whole bag away. No taste, my ..... It tasted worse than silica to me. I'm using my cotton balls on it right now, but someone else sent me some pads, KGD I believe. It's not really any easier than a regular cotton ball to use for me, but the flavor might be a little better. Not enough that I'd go out and buy some, but I have a nice little stack of pads to use for a while. The guy who sent it to me is selling e-liquid now & he sends some wick free with every order (or every order over $xx?). If I keep getting the pads from him, I'll keep using them. So far I've only had one wick with it so far, so I'll have to see how it works out on some of my other flavors/builds.

One little trick with cotton on a Heron (KGD or a cotton ball) is to make your tail extra long. Instead of trimming it 1/4" above the plate, loop it back into the hole so you have a 1/4 to 3/8" tall loop sticking up.

I haven't tried anything from byLeo yet. I don't do ceramic cups on anything. I don't deal with NR-R builds either or buy ready wire. It half defeats the purpose of rebuilding for me - being cheap & not relying on much for supplies. I sold off all my cartotanks, I'm not much of a dripper (but I have an Odin for when I need one) & right now I'm sold between my KFL's and now the Heron.

I don't like widebore tips. I vape at pretty low power, so I don't need much airflow. The muted flavor is just that large, tuna-can shaped chamber. I expected it before I even bought it. Increasing the power just a touch did the trick.

especially with the string of bad luck i've been having.

I keep that end of the wick a little thicker as well. Even if I don't loop it, it fills the hole & touches the fluff real easy. The advantage of the loop is that it stands up a little better even when saturated with e-liquid & makes good contact with the fluff.

I ordered one a few days before the DNA 40 announcement. Called and canceled it and then reordered tonight to get the 40 and wireless charging features... happy happy...
On and with the erl it's just an unstoppable combo.

I'll take a look at getting one when they come out with other colors. Only black available is a pass for me.
