So... Vaseline works? I just wanna make sure I don't affect the connectivity cos it kills battery life.

That's how I know I needa clean my contact and the threads: when new batts registers lower than 4V and batt life is crap.

Thing about noalox is that it dries up and is a PITA to clean up prior to a new coat.
I haven't had any battery problems with it, used it for years on my flashlights, but I regularly clean my contact points. For me it is a cheapness issue...

Ah thanks for the suggestions!
Quick follow up to everyone who suggested smth: do any of these dry up and become a total PITA to clean off?

That's my main gripe with noalox, so I'm looking for a replacement that stays "wet" after application, and I can easily take a paper towel to wipe it off before applying a new coat.

Thanks all!

No; lps is an industrial lubricating penetrating oil (insert chief comment here)
And hot sauce is a real oil for competitive anglers. Its designed for high rpm ball bearings.

Eta::: someone on my robotics team thinned out some noalox with lemon juice and it never gunked up on us. We used it for one of our robitic arms- not saying i would do it;but, seamed to work. Maybe its a southern thing.

AND AT THE SAME TIME.

proud to announce that I. Walked. To a mall. And bought the pads myself.

Yes. After months of rehab, the kiwi is walking with crutches. Smirk. Took a selfie to post but was promptly warned not to by my accompanying officer

I'm a little bummed out...what will life be like without beer, bread, cereal, processed foods containing any traces of gluten, what will I eat when traveling if I have to totally avoid the possibility of ingesting even trace amounts of wheat, barley etc...some lotteries you just don't want to win:facepalm:

Thanks Kiwi :) right now it's like I am trying to wrap my head around the whole concept, and doing research and stuff. At least I am a very good cook, used to do it professionally for some years, so I have a slight advantage from the git go, diet wise. But have concerns about how this will affect my life when traveling for any reason...funny part is, with vaping, and being in a happy place with vaping, I never once even thought about lighting up a smoke! Gotta always look at the bright side ;)
