Now you have a torch for Cream Brulee. I like it when it's freshly torched.
You have more patience than me. I gave up on mine after one build. I'm back to my beloved Sophias.

Now that all the important talk is done for the day I will tell you a tale.
Bought a butane torch lighter yesterday for annealing kanthat and swishing coils. Piece of __it. Had to refill it 3 times to build a microcoil. So had to go to Lowes and buy an overkill Burnomatic Micro Torch Kit for $20. Neat. If I ever decide I want to solder anything I got tips for that that go on the butane torch. Size of a large magic marker.
So. From the pictures and help given here by Train2 and Inotfat I was able to successfully loosen and straighten out the positive post block and readjust the 510 center pin so that the r91v1 works on my Provari Mini. Many thank yous to you both.
Coil build went very easy and fast. Coil mount was like spending two hours in Purgatory knowing you are going to hell. No trouble making the coil. I could not get that little guy mounted for the life of me. Destroyed another coil when trying to mount it. Made another. Took another hour to get that one mounted. I am having trouble getting the little legs to go under the screws and stay put while I tighten the screws down. Then, when I am perfecting the coil positioning, one of the legs keeps coming out. Tough workout for me today.
Finally got it mounted. Reads at 1.2ohms. 28ga kanthal, 12 wraps. Think I lost a wrap or so in the struggle in Purgatory. Ohms lowest I have vaped and it is not tasting great. We will see how it goes. I do not have the energy tonight for a round three.
Ladiekali, I think I may have seen you in Purgatory; in passing. Next time I will wave. I am glad you got yours working well for you.
Just an idea maybe for next time you need one or someone else reading this. I use a creme brule torch. I've had mine for years but the sell them at walmart, bed bath and beyond really anyplace that sells cookware. No filling it uses a small disposable butane tank similar to what is on camping stoves only smaller. Makes life easier plus next time you wanna make a custard turn it into creme brule...lol

We lived in Louisville for 13 years--both children born there! Really liked living there---miss the State Fair and Derby Week!
I sympathize completely.
That's how it is for me, too. I got my Russian vaping GREAT, but I dread making a coil, and I am using readywick, because I would NOT use a rebuildable if I had to re-wick all the time.
Today, I got my first mech.
I bought it partly because I'd built a fairly lovely dual coil on an iGo, but it came out 1.0 ohms and I didn't have a mod I could use it on!
Took me a while to get cotton through the danged coils, but I finally did, and got to experience a dual coil, cotton wicked mech mod.

It's all for sale right now if anyone's interested.
LOL
I mean, it vaped fine, but
a) I'm NOT into building coils
b) The vape was solid, but I don't think I need lower ohms to be satisfied, and I'm happier with the ProVari so I can control the voltage
c) I could not get comfortable with a fire button on the bottom of the tube!
With at Gizmo thing I can wind coils all day, no problem. It is the mounting them on the atty deck that is my nemesis. I am having a horrible time. Part of it is eyesight. So I need to figure out a better magnifying setup. The couple of cheap magnifyers I used make stuff bigger, but still blurry to see. And if I could trade my hands in for a new pair, I would be all set.
I know a lot of this is going to be practice. Building 8-10 coils does not an expert make. So I will keep at it.
So far I do not like a 1.2ohm coil. The vape is not as flavorful right now for me. We will see how it is tomorrow. I may be building another coil.

Is rediwick that good? Going to look that up.
I buy nothing BUT Minis. The standards hold no appeal for me whatsoever.
Since I've been working, I found Hypertanks to be my go-tos as they don't break (yet, at least) when they hit the ground while I'm shuffling papers. I'm afraid all my other stuff would do and I've already lost two ProTanks to the crosswalk....lol
Our Walmart not only does not carry a Crème Brulee torch, the people working there did not know what Crème Brulee was or what kind of torch I was looking for. Long story, one of many as to why I hate Walmart.
My AFCs won't fire when snugged up against it; I have to back it out half turn for it to fire- all three of them are like that- I dunno just saying.

Welcome welcome welcome!!!!! and CONGRATS!!!
How'd you score a pink 'Vari?
Check out that pinky nail!
My vaping update: cartotanks are not for me. I gave them a week...and: meh. I taste the polyfill and it's still yucky.
Hcigar Kracken.

..............don't know if you are doing this but putting the coil in a screwdriver, drill bit or something WHEN you are mounting the coil makes things way easier. It is the mounting them on the atty deck that is my nemesis.
This is what my concern was with the carto tanks and what I hated about the cartomizers tips. All I could taste was that polyfill
How is the Kracken?
What band were you in?

I need a ring for my provari that will work with my kayfun! The provapmone doesnt work for me
You need to get the actual Svoemesto ring. They work exceptionally well, and just look terrific! I'll take a pic here in a sec...
ETA: pic added...
