Which SnP tank?
If it's the 23mm V1, it's one of my FAVORITE setups with the ring. The ring threads on, and if screwed ALL the way onto the tank, it allows great airflow - or you can "unthread" it a little, so it's totally flush with the ProVari - but that will cut off air...

I ordered a V2, but the ring won't fit - I had to send it back and I'm waiting for the V2 "22/23 mm" version so I can use it...

For a 22mm version, I think you have to find a ring that you like and see - with no notches in the bottom, you might need the ProVape ring, or the notched Sotong, or the Innovape or a Hippo, etc...

Here's my V1 23mm with the ring down, and up...pic on the right has a great, airy draw...

Wow...not a good morning for you to say the least and you have every right to be a SOB..heehehehehee

Does anyone know a good ring to use on a SnP tank with Sophia so i can get a flush look and still some airflow? I think the SnP has a ProRing but not sure if it has decent airflow or not. I cant stand pushing up the SnP tank to get the Sophia to work and it looks stupid.

Guess who forgot to swap out his ProVari battery for one that he apparently forgot to charge? The same person who forgot to grab a spare on his way out the door. Oh, and guess who is now 70 miles from home? The same guy who is tied up here for a few more hours, and no vape shop in between.

If people around me wonder why I'm a grumpy SOB today...no you know why!

Anyways, good morning y'all!

Offering my assistance. Someone needs to hire me a plane to get to you now...

Curious- what Are the advantages and disadvantages of doing a double coil vs single coil on a kayfun?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dual coils have some advantages. Here's how you make it better. Take the dual coils. Throw the KF away(burn it, if it's a clone). Put the dual coils in a REAL atty. There, all better.

I wouldn't say it's "that good" - it's like indestructible silica.
If you love cotton flavor and wicking and hated silica, it probably won't dazzle you.
But for me - if I get something wicked with it and working well - it's as close as you can come to having a permanent coil.

I love that it doesn't unravel.

The seller also included a carto tank, but I can't really figure out what brand it is. There's a pic of it on the listing, here: Purple Provari Mini 2 Bundle Protank 3 EXTRAS | eBay Anyone have any idea what it is? Near as I can figure out it is maybe a Cirrus tank????? I really want to figure this out so I know what kind of cartos to buy for it and whether the O-rings are replaceable since one of them looked a little hinky. Thanks!!!

It does look like a Cirrus Pyrex tank. It appears to be a standard length tank from the pic, so should take standard length (35mm) cartos.

Not sure where you could get replacement o-rings for it. The Cirrus Vapes website doesn't sell directly to customers and hasn't been updated for several months, but they do have a "contact us" option. I attempted to contact them once over a year ago and it took them a couple of weeks to respond. Home - Cirrus Vapes

Vaperev also sells a similar looking tank. http://shop.vaperev.com/accessories/tanks/blue-splash-anodized-rev-tank.html

I was hoping you'd answer, Baditude of the Cartotank tribe! It seems like a pretty nice little tank now that I have it all cleaned up. Thanks for the carto info - it seems like this will be a good way to check out whether I like cartotanks at all before I go all crazy and order prettied up ones, and if it doesn't work for me, hopefully someone will trade me something new to try for it =) Now that I've soaked it a while and scrubbed it gently with a finger, the rings look OK. I think they were just gunked up with whatever juice was left in there.

A guy at the vape store near me suggested a type of dual coil using one long piece of kanthal. I haven't tried it yet but sounded interesting. I just wasn't sure if there would really be any advantage to doing it that way. The double barrel with two coils looked like a bigger PITA than the chimney.

Not sure if there are other ways of doing it, but here's how I did mine

Pros: significantly warmer vape (might be a con for some), good density of vapor, good flavor

cons: took me bloody forever to get the 2 mounted right. It was a nightmare to build. The kayfun doesn't have a deck that's conducive for double coils.

Thank you; for the pics also! That will definitely help.
Looks awesome!!!

Tried going to the B&Ms for advice
One I refuse to go into anymore -they no help unless you spend money.
The other has no off street parking and I'm not crossing a busy street in a wheelchair ever again.
We now have three new ones! -2 I need a flying chair to get into
That leaves one that I can go to for help great people friendly staff and very helpful. But when I talked to them they were all about single coil. So I was curious as to the difference.

Does the dual eat up juice faster?
It shouldn't draw any more power looking at the math;but, in the real world do you notice a difference?

I saw something like that on YouTube. I think they call it a navy nest

Another dumb question-
When using ekowool/silica on the kayfun do you try to keep it wrapped or let it get untangled and for lack of a better word -hairy? Like in the kangers? Yeah I got fairly decent finally at recoiling the kangers finally.
- on those you know you snip the ends after the coil is in place and let it get fury -that what I call it at least.

So, how does a bowl, a toothbrush and a strainer play into building coils? :D

I have to share my excitement. I just ordered the Zenkote provari! We will now have 5 ProVaris in our house. Too much? Three are mine, and two are my hubbies. We just got him the emerald metallic, which is beautiful by the way. More of a forest green with muted sparkle, but very manly. Especially since it's his favorite color. At the rate we're going, we'll have one of each color before long lol. I'm still waiting for a metallic royal blue myself. Think one's in the pipeline?

..............don't know if you are doing this but putting the coil in a screwdriver, drill bit or something WHEN you are mounting the coil makes things way easier.

I have been leaving the long rod that I wrapped the coil on when I try to mount it. I need hands something closer to Edward Scissorhands or tweezers as fingers. I have fat big fingers for a woman and I need an extra hand or two and the eyes of a teenager.

I am on my 4th wick on this build. I think I finally got the right amount of cotton and the right length. I opened the airhole control way open and I can now taste some flavor at 3.3 volts. I am getting more vapor. I think I was using too Little cotton before. It seems to be a delicate balance with the cotton wick. Still not great but I can vape it so far. We will see.

No such thing as Too much. Now "enough"? That's another story. We are always at least one short of "enough". It's like "tomorrow", we never quite get there.

Hahahahah trust someone to notice that.

I'm pretty OCD about giving my kayfuns a good cleaning ESP when I change juices that taste very different. So I break it down into all the tiniest component. Long story short, I ended up losing 8 positive block insulator and 3 center post insulators down the drainage. Hence the strainer. The toothbrush was for scrubbing the threads of my mech heheh

Do they have a size that would fit though the coils I build on the 1.5mm rod? And where would I find this magical stuff?
Rewicking this coil 4 times in 14 hours with cotton balls is not my idea of a good vape setup.
