Remember that feeling when you'd drop a lit cigarette while driving, and it would roll under the seat, and there was traffic, and you'd reach under the seat, touch the hot part getting a burn on a fingertip, but succeed only in bumping it farther away, so you'd have to urgently try to cut across three lanes, and stop roadside, getting out so you could reach the floor in the back of the car and retrieve the cigarette, hoping that the hole in the carpeting wouldn't be too bad?

That feeling sucked.

I'd finish smoking the cigarette though.

Well, I got it a bit easier. Couple spare batteries in a plastic battery box in my purse. Along with my mod of the day, and a spare mod that lives there. Bottle of juice and a couple spare cartos and a carto tank if I have my Kayfun that day. All set.

That's where being a guy in a wheelchair does come In handy, I just reached in my POUCH to grab ibuprofen only to see- a pouch on the chair i sit in all day every day- no I'm not a little absent minded.

Weirdness....Got the "O" rings for my cartotanks from Vaperev today. 2 baggies. 1 marked "In" (larger) and 1 marked "Out" (smaller). In my mind, the larger should go on the "out"side of the cap and the smaller would go "in" where the carto would go. Why would you put a smaller O ring on a larger diameter cap and a large O ring in a smaller diameter hole? Simply Red is very confused.....

Issue - Being in construction, all types of construction, a lot of times, my truck is my office. Can't leave the truck running for the A/C as the boss would freak at the gas bill. Not always a shade tree around either. A couple of my next projects are "outdoor" projects.

Open to suggestions........

What about one of the collapsible lunch coolers. I have one that I can put in the freezer overnight and then put my food in for next day. No liquid to leak. But it holds 4 water bottles easily and not too big for stashing your vape gear and batteries, etc. You could also put one of the freezer ice pack things in there if you need a longer cool time. The walls of the bag have that gel stuff that freezes and stays cold a long time. Not expensive either. Can get them everywhere.

I know about heat, but why cold? Do not remember reading about that anywhere.

IMR batteries WILL go into a thermal runaway "vent with flame" condition at ~190 deg F.

I know for a fact, interiors of cars can reach and exceed 120 deg F on hot sunny days.

If we assume a 10% margin of variance, due to age or level of charge, that means a cell has a potential for venting at 161 deg F.

That being said, it will be a cold day in hell before I intentionally leave a battery in a hot car.

Also, NEVER EVER EVER EVER CHARGE COLD BATTERIES! Cold being below 40 deg F.

Heres a quick link that covers the highlights...
Charging Batteries at High and Low Temperatures

This article covers the most common battery types. For the purposes of the discussion here, we're dealing with Lithium Ion (LI-ion).

Pay attention to what they're NOT saying. Notice the upper temperature range for charging is stated at 113 deg F for LI-ion...they don't really state what happens above that.
