I started my vaping adventure with Vivi Nova's and Protanks. In my search for a consistent vape, I turned to a Provari and kayfun combination. It is still one of my favorite on the go set ups. With that mod, I typically build around 1.5 ohms and vape it at 4.5v. I also turned to rda's and have a good repertoire of mechanical mods and attys. Lately, I've been going to the office with a copper 4nine clone (which I don't recommend for a beginner, since it is a hybrid connection and can be finicky) and a TOBH clone. I found that building my TOBH to a 0.6 ohm dual coil build using 26 gauge wire gives me a really flavorful vape. In public, I tend to open up 2 air holes and take 2-3 second tokes so I don't blow out clouds, but it's quite satisfying in flavor. I have a Magma and Shotgun mod setup that utilizes a 0.3 ohm build using 24 gauge kanthal, but it is a bit much to take out of the house.

I've heard great things about the Infinite Cartel clones, so I think your plan to use it and build a 0.7 ohm coil for the TOBH is a winner. One thing to keep in mind, when on the go, a sub ohm build like this is nice to vape on, but if you chain vape it, it will get hot on you. So if you chain vape it, set it down to cool off the atty before you pocket the thing again.

well.. I went to see my buddy that's been vaping for a year or two, and works in a nice B&M here in Tampa... and well.. after some testing , conversation, etc.. I went full on and bought a Infinite Cartel mech and a TOBH dripper...

I just couldn't get over the difference in the amount of vape, the taste, the smoothness....

so.. even though I said I didnt want to go that route... the difference was just too much to pass up! on a bright note, the thing hits so much harder.. he suggested dropping down to 6mg nic... and hes right.. I will not be chain vaping this beast! lol. so i went from 18mg juice.. to a amazing 6mg Boss Juice.. called Apple Crack juice.. lol Pretty sweet.. will probably try some other juices shortly..

holy guacamole!

Sounds like your visit to Purely Vapor was good! I have some time tomorrow afternoon and I may check them out.......I still don't think I'm ready to RBA, and my Kangertech Mega is working out really well for me, but I do want a backup Mod and want to see what they sell in comparison to my regular shop.

Sounds like you've got some of those bad coils for your Aspire Nautilus. Try this. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...autilus-replacement-head-carto-punch-fix.html

I normally use RBAs, but I love the Nautilus for a "grab n' go".
Thanks Coldrake! watching now. Hemptation re builds nautilus heads too.. I may go that route for daily, and keep the dripper for home use only

I am a year into my vaping right about now and I started pretty much the same. MVP 1.5 with an iClear 30 and after about a week I did not really like it too much. I then immediately switched to a mechanical mod and a rda along with aga-t2. The one thing I realized that if you want something consistent 100% you have to take some ownershiop.

Step 1: Get Information
Scour the internet and learn about batteries and safety. Learn learn learn and then learn some more.

Step 2: Stop buying stuff
You will never find the right stuff until you know the stuff inside and out. Before every purchase make sure you know exactly how it works, how it is supposed to work and how you can make it work. I find youtube is the best source of this information on good quality reviews.

Step 3: Take ownership
I stopped buying eLiquid because I didn't like any flavors they were too strong and I thought, and still do, are too expensive. Learn about DIY mixing. It is high school chemistry really to put together a bottle of juice. With a few tools and supplies you can drop your cost of eliquid to 65 cents per 30mL bottle like me.

Step 4: Acceptance
This is new and you will never find the perfect vape. Find the best vape for you and what makes you happy.

I am now a year into vaping I love my devices, I wrap my own coils, make my own juice and have a vape that I can depend on from day to day.

I would say start building your own coils in stuff like kayfuns, russians of aquas... Since i started vaping ive been through all types of vapes i guess, clearos, drippers, gennies and rbas, and so far i have the best experience with drippers and rebuildable attys (rba's) i can get the cloud size of my liking (except for huge) and i can control how much liquid is fed by changing the wick material (cotton is faster than most but needs to be changed more often)

And i havnt used a clearo since i got my first rebuildable (rda or rba)

This is the best vaping advice I've read in a long time

I see a lot of people searching for a satisfying vape and trying to get it by buying it. Unfortunately the vape world does not yet have any devices in it that work no matter what you do with them. There are many good devices out there, specially compared to just a couple of years ago, but they all still need a bit of TLC, a bit of research and understanding and knowing that little 'trick' that will make them work best.

Rock on Oddnoun :)

yep

guess you're right oddnoun... take ownership and go forth... no simple.. 'BUY THIS.. perfect forever" devices etc available yet!

I did the one build.. I should get the rest of the tools I need, and jump in. heck, even watched rip trippers vid on rebuilding Nautilus coils... knowledge is POWER!
thanks all for the continuing info! I will say that experience makes a difference too it seems.. when I started this thread.. I only had the Nautilus for a few days.. Ive learned nothing chain vapes that well.. so, if I dont chain vape, pre load etc, the Nautilus gives a pretty satisfying hit still, over and over.. just needed the more experience, although i do love the tobh's hit!

I wound up getting a Provari today from my regular shop. I know it's ridiculously expensive, but with the Kanger Mega, it's simply the best combination I've had yet.

consistent, reliable, works every time, good vape , even if I want 5 drags in a row.

Check out ReosMods.com

Once I got my hands on my first Reo Grand and Rm2 it was game over, I'll never buy anything else. We've got a great group of people that will answer any and all questions you may have over in Reoville
