Ok, So I have been looking around on here for a while now, looking for a few answers to my questions. I am sure they are here somewhere, but I just can't find them, so I'm gonna ask! My situation is; My husband and I have finally decided to switch over to e-cigs. We have been wanting to for a while, but the cost for getting started is kinda prohibitive!
, So we just decided to bite the bullet, next payday, and get started by buying a basic starter kit with two complete e-cigs, this weekend. I have been researching for a while here on ECF, and I have narrowed it down to the JOYE 510 Black Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit, from The Vapor Pro.com for $47.95. Or the Joye 510 NoBox with PCC, from Cignot.com, for $65.00. Both are 2 complete e-cigs with the exception of the Cignot site adding the PCC, and it is no box, (so does that mean it is a generic Joye 510?, I can't see a brand on it anywhere?)
So, here are my questions:
1. These both say they come with pre-filled cartridges, are these cartridges re-fill able, or will we need to buy some blank carts? Also, with this model, if we decide to try cartomizers when we are a little more experienced, will we be able to switch out?
2. How long does a typical battery last for one of these models? My husband will be using one, and he works 10 hour shifts, so would a battery last him a whole work day? (He has 2-20 minute breaks, and a half hour lunch + the drive to and from work) (we will be buying a manual push button style) This is one of the reasons why I am considering the kit with the PCC, as I am wondering if he is going to need it? I know eventually we will need more parts, accessories ect, but we have to start with the very basic here, just so we can get off the damn analogs, and start saving the money we need to buy more things we need.
3. How safe are the batteries??? I have been reading some concerning posts about batteries exploding, and is this more of an issue with mods, or is it something to worry about with just a plain e-cig too? Also are the batteries with this model adequate for normal everyday e-cig use? (I am actually afraid of ALL rechargeable batteries now, eyeballing my cell phone and camera with fear!)
4. How much e-liquid? It is my understanding from a few who were heavy smokers, that a 30ml bottle of e-liquid will last them about 5 days or a little more. Is this true? My husband and I smoke about a pack of Camel lights a day each, and I have learned that Camel lights have about .19 mg of nicotine, so I was going to start there for nicotine level, but what is a good estimate for juice usage? I would hate to think we are all stocked up till pay day on juice, and then run out the week before pay! LOL
I think that about covers it! If anyone also has some suggestions on better prices for the kits I mentioned, I am all ears! We don't have a lot of money, but we really need to get off these analogs! Our health needs it, and our wallets! If anyone has any advice for me, I would be most grateful. I realize that veterans to this site probably see confused noobs like me, all the time, and I also realize that if I looked harder, I could probably find these answers, but I have looked so hard already, and we are getting down to the wire for placing our order, and I need to know! So Thank you! Thank you very much! And I look forward to hanging out with everyone here, and learning as much as I can while I go. Take Care!
