Afternoon everyone, hope its been a good one.
My new 2.1 and VVG should show up tomorrow. Funny how 2+ years and about 10 packages later from Rob and I'm still just as excited as the first time.

Expect a sexy REO family pic tomorrow :D

Now I have to pick up a couple more RBAs for them ....... sure wish chalices were readily available :(
Didn't care for the hornet but maybe if I can find a SS one. But might have to give the ERA a shot as well.

Bill, what a doll baby. Love puppies but just as much all their lives. Taking a break on the throne. Three feet away is Moe Doodle, in the shower, behind the curtain, but chin resting on edge, keeping an eye on me. If I stay here long enough he'll take a quick nap, but light enough to spring up if I move.

They stay pretty tuckered out when Sissy Dog is gathering stuff and going in and out. There are three doors that we keep shut between main living area and outside, unfenced driveway area. This girlie, as bright as she is just doesn't grasp the concept of closing doors so they latch. All Bubs can open doors from both sides if bolt not fully engaged. So the whole time she is here it's constant dogs out. One out and s/he hangs pretty close and harasses the others inside fence. Two or more and they take off down the drive to explore neighborhood and/or woods. Other night Jake and Curly stayed gone for 45 minutes. They usually stop by dearly departed Chaco's house still looking for her or take a quick dip in their pool if cover rolled back.

Several days I've made her drive out in my car looking for them. Curly stays outside the fence area with her most of the time but doesn't leave her sight as long as it's just him but it drives the others bonkers when he torments them at the chain link part of fence.

Only times I've ever gotten p*ssed at her is when she doesn't pay attention and lets them escape. Those times, as I'm handing her my car keys I firmly remind her that if we lived on a busy street they would all be dead and she would never get over the guilt. She adds she would be devastated if one got hurt. But it doesn't keep her from being oblivious to them taking advantage of her carelessness.

Couple days ago both Heeler girls dashed out. They only went over to look for Auntie Chaco and explore two close properties and came right back. I had keys in hand and drink and REO and chair set up to wait but they appeared back before I got settled in. All are totally ignorant about cars. A couple neighbors drive so fast in/out our shared drive they could just as easily get hit back here.

As savy as Free Range Auntie Chaco was about streets and cars her own Dad hit her in their driveway a couple years ago.

Rant over.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Dogs are great, sometimes I feel bad that they get up and follow me everywhere. I try to tell them to stay if I'm coming right back but they all have to come see what I'm doing even if for 30 seconds. Funny how they can wake up so quick follow me and then come back and be snoring again in 3 minutes :D

Jake Mastiff starts snoring the moment his head is down or leaning against something even if he's not down all the way. We joke he needs to learn to relax.

Although English Mastiffs, the breed in general, should not be used in attack work (too many reasons to list) I did, for years, work some very carefully tested and carefully chosen EMs in bite work. I trained with all the typical breeds and a lot not so typical. An athletic, in prime condition EM can go from a full down position into a full lunge faster than most breeds I know of; shockinly cat like. (EMs are not suited for a lot of types of work. Because of their great mass they don't have the endurance and agility that most working breeds have. But they can put a giant on his back with one hit and keep him down without the need to bite or maime.)

That being said..... We have a GIANT doggie door, never blocked, that gives them 24/7 access to courtyard and front fenced yard. When I'm on the recliner seat of sofa (that's where I sleep, too and do most of my computing because of neck) he's frequently sprawled out on his back with either his front feet or back in my face, in what appears to be deep coma, snoring away. if one of the others does a certain bark outside he is flipped over and off the sofa in less than 2 seconds. This happens at least 10 times in a 24 hr period and to say it's jarring is a major underststement. And he's a relatively small EM at 180 lbs but all muscle and virtually no body fat. It always pisses me off but .......

BTW... he's on my left side. It took only one time to teach me to never vape or drink with left hand when sitting/sleeping there.;)

My dogs have always typically slept at the side of my bed--their choice. Thus I've grown accustomed to dog snoring. It's never bothered me--even from the bullmastiffs which were pretty vigorous snorers. I find it comforting somehow. Its kind of like dog-purring.:)

RTD now has AW IMR 18350 batteries in stock. I just bought a thousand of them... my charger broke.

Jack
Thanks, Jack....I'm set. Got an email from Randy saying they were back in stock just as I was about to order from Super T.
Hopefully not your only charger broke?

I agree those OXO's are good, a little bulky, but good. I got mine from Amazon. The last time I set foot in a Williams Sonoma, the lady offered me a coffee and some cookies, then when I explained to her I was simply looking for a spatcula or can opener, this same woman had this look of disgust and regrettd every faint sign of interest she had demonstrated in our earlier conversation. What was I doing in a Williams Sonoma in the first place you ask? It was next to our Starbucks and I wasn't thinking clearly. My recent haircut, tall latte, and being it was on a friday (payday) - I suppose I was feeling very high society like.

my idea to do the everglades turned out to be not such a great choice...carol got pretty sick about a half hour into it...the captain? offered to take us back but carol refused and just dealt with it...although it looked to me that she was starting to trigger other people to get sick as well....everyone on the airboat were super nice....i kept apologizing to everyone...she is feeling much better now and will stay in tonight for dinner....my niece is cooking(which might make me sick)....
but here are a few pics that i did manage to take...
hope EVERYONE had a great day
i know i keep saying it but i am still overwhelmed by the generosity, prayers, concern from ALL of you..:)

I need a new can opener. I'm sick of cheap a** can openers that fall apart after a year or so. Anybody have any recommendations?

can openers | Williams-Sonoma

Open to other suggestions too as long as they're sturdy.

I know I'm late, but I'm a huge supporter of the OXO line. I love my can opener...it's not a soft edge opener, just regular...but it's super comfortable and easy to use over the normal ones. I bought mine at Fred Meyer...which is also owned by Kroger so might be fairly easy to find. I think I paid about $12 for mine about 2 years ago.

Little Jasmine does that to me too....we call her my little shadow. I can't go anywhere in this house without her about 1.5 steps behind me.
